Good boating trip - boat breaking down wasn't ideal but they did fix it with 16 hours, so only a quarter of the holiday affected. With better engine servicing they could make it to five stars!

We have just finished our holiday with Richardson's at stalham on spring horizon 2 boat. Despite the weather we have to say that we couldn't fault the staff at Richardson's. They want above and beyond to make sure we were safe and warm. Even the engineers were great. All service was provided with a smile anf we will definitely return again and again. Fantastic boatyard fantastic staff. Amazing customer service from all.

Used Richardson's for over 30 years now, used to love the Acle base but Stalham is great too Gold Gem 2- Sad to say that we had niggles with our boat this year which quite honestly is a first. Stern door rained in, no hooks to keep open either that door or the one at the front. When we called at the yard later in the week the helpful engineers quickly fitted some hooks, sadly we found out they didn't fit the hasps so still couldn't keep the doors open. Stern door was very difficult to lock with a key that poked straight through the lock and out the other side. The biggest gripe was the incredibly creaky noisy floorboards right in the middle of the boat...no matter how you tried to walk over/around them the noise woke my partner every single time, engineers joked they were useful instead of an alarm clock. Seriously though this aspect did spoil what is a favourite holiday that we come back to time and again, I've holidayed on many boats over the years and have realistic expectations of what I will find, it takes a lot to make me complain but this was very disappointing and not addressed. It appeared a new floor covering had been fitted, so this should really have been picked up for what was the first hire of the boat this season. On the plus side, ultra efficient check in/out and hand over and yes we will be back again next year (booking next week in fact) just feel let down by this years experience. Update- A fortnight on and disappointing that there has been no response to my review!

First class experience. 5 star quality, professional staff + services, great boating holidays, best on the broads. Highly recommended 😀👍🏼

Highly recommended, best boating experience on the boards. Amazing fleet of boats with WiFi and very good facilities, all at a great price. Would definitely visit again, and again, and again.... We've had the San domingo and just finished with the Majorca. The boat yard is welcoming with polite and professional staff, which enhances the high quality of the appliances and services available before and throughout your holiday. The maintenance and help team responded quickly upon an issue with the cooking appliance aboard the boat when near Wroxham. The guy moored next to us and resolved issue quickly in a friendly and polite manner. Very happy with the service Richardson's provide. Highly recommended (also far better than Herbert woods as they have leaky boats and lack of services, that's why Richardsons is the very best when it comes to boating holidays on the broads). 👍🏼
