Booked this hotel from 9am to 5pm through Dayuse.com. Arrived 1 hr early and was offered breakfast while waiting for room to be ready. It was the best breakfast loved the fresh blue berry croissants! compared to breakfasts at other hotels during my trip in Scotland! The staffs are lovely and very polite. The studio is clean and has everything I need. The location is perfect for me a senior to easily walk to the center and spend time visiting Edinburgh castle.
The newly refurbished rooms are very nice, there's a lot more space than a typical hotel and you get gorgeous floor-to-ceiling windows. No issues with noise or heat control.nnBreakfast was reasonable, what there is is of a fair standard but options are limited. Unlimited hot drinks is a bonus though.nnThe staff were excellent, friendly and actually seem like they enjoy their job.nnThe location is amazing. Surrounded by the food outlets of the university, by a big park, but a short walk into the centre. It's a good escape from the bustle of the Golden Mile, without having to travel too far
The bed was very comfortable and the pillows were excellent. I was able to sleep very well and uninterrupted throughout my stay. The room was quite spacious and tastefully decorated. The location of the hotel is ideal—you can walk everywhere, and there is a supermarket very close by.nnThe breakfast variety was decent, but the taste could be improved. There weren’t many particularly appealing options, and the egg selections were limited.
John and the front desk staff were great and accommodating, felt very welcome. The newly renovated rooms looked good. There was a good selection of hot and cold breakfast items. Location wise, lots of green space and shops.
Great hotel, really close to the royal Mile and an easy walk to and from. Quiet area as well. The only thing we found a bit odd was the front desk in the same area as the restaurant/lounge but ultimately a great place to stay
