I had this hotel booked for months for a trip to the British Open Golf Tournament with my mum and 8 year old son. Literally 3 weeks prior to the trip they cancelled. Quite clearly so they could sell the room for a higher fee as there was so much desire for rooms for the golf. Absolutely disgusting behavior. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL -run by scum of the earth. Morals - Zero.
Dirty sheets in first room, when I reported this at 9:40pm was asked 'why was I only reporting this now'. First room also had very harsh overhead lighting, only one bedside table and no bedside lamps. Felt like a cell. Given another room with clean sheets after complaining about the dirty sheets. Requested partial refund due to this and other issues but this was not given. Hotel is in a run down industrial area with seemingly no shops/restaurants in walking distance on a main road, opposite a ???gasworks. Numerous health and safety issues e.g. interior doors were flimsy not fire doors, no automatic lighting in case of fires in communal areas. One window wouldn't shut in the second room - first floor so would have posed a serious danger to any children staying there was a double plus single room so very likely. Would have liked to report this when checking out but there was nobody on site to report to. Very expensive at £109. Also had to pay £3.50 for parking - stated to be free on booking.com and not able to park on the road due to access requirements of the warehouses there. There are multiple pictures of the bar /seating area on booking.com however this was not staffed and they are not offering breakfasts. Total rip off, dirty and unsafe and would have gone home but for the fact that I needed to pick something up in the area the following day.
First impression was that the hotel was in the middle of some significant renovations. The bedrooms were all brand new, clean and warm. Beautifully decorated with new beds mattresses and bedding. We asked for extra pillows and had them within minutes. The staff were friendly and could not do enough for us. Towels provided but not hot drink facilities in the room but it was not a massive problem as coffee was readily available in the dining room.
Expensive £143 for 1 night also had to pay to park i didn't check in till gone 6pm and by 11am being rushed out with no consideration. When we politely said to the cleaner 10 more mins the dirty look I received off her walking down the stairs when I am 6 months pregnant also with my 7 year old daughter made me feel very uncomfortable if looks could kill! Grubby room, filthy floors which looked like they had never had a mop. The rail in wardrobe broke when I hung 3 items up, broken fixtures all over the place, broken blinds. th The shower took more than 30 mins for the water to heat up. Lumpy beds with a dip in the middle most uncomfortable nights sleep of my life. Television not working, no remote when asked for one at reception literally got handed about 8 different remotes and got told to try them all ok it turned the telly on but couldn't pick up one channel! Run down and located in a rough part of Liverpool in an industrial estate. Very rude and unhelpful staff would never stay here again even if someone paid me too steer clear!!
Very friendly staff and very reasonably priced for a short/long term stay. Visit with my family and we got three rooms all next to eachother which was great. Down side is that not all bedrooms have bathrooms and showers. Some of the showers were broken and need fixing. Other than that it was great.
Stayed here some time ago. A bit out of the way but was given the penthouse suite. The view wasn't the best but the room was great. Breakfast was good in the morning with the staff swapping the beans and tomatoes for extra sausage and bacon. The staff were friendly, I would stay here again even though it is out of the way, they provide secure free parking.
It's very run down. It's up for sale so I guess no improvement will be made yet. The net curtains were all ripped. The window had silver tape all round it, which didn't seem to stop the draft or the road noise. Being a busy dock constant lorries going past. Not so many at night but when they do it sounds like they are in the room. The room is quite big. The mattress seemed very old. When I lay on it it went flat and you can feel the base of the bed. The heating was on and kept the room warm enough. The shower in the room has silver tape on the door. The towels were a bit hard, they were drying on the radiators in reception. The lady on the desk seemed nice. The hallways to the rooms seemed to be lacking light bulbs, so dark in places. They have their own car park. I guess for £50 it was ok. We would stay here again if we didn't have a room road side.
Upon first glance a decent looking hotel. Every glance that follows makes it worse though. I’m talking about cleaning in the obvious places, but far from thorough. Missing facilities. And industrial location at an hour walk of the city centre. Breakfast was... a slice of toast on the first day and no breakfast on the second. Hotel staff is unreachable and not present before 8. A factor that was also not very convenient when the fire alarm rang in the middle of the night. They staff tried to make the best of it though! Friendly people.
Room was an absolute disgrace. Curtains were torn and a section was missing. Bathroom was falling apart, shower was full of mould so couldn't shower in the morning. Hotel description was wrong, they mention a bar and show pics... but it doesn't open...ever according to reception. Breakfast was meant to a delight... cold toast and ham and cheese!!! I would never recommend this hotel to anyone...£60 to sleep in a hovel isn't budget!! When we got back to the hotel there was the night porter asleep with his shoes off and holey socks propped up on the check in desk. Just about to share this when I noticed they say FREE BREAKFAST!!! It isn't free at all.
Shocking! Don’t know where to start, filthy floors, dirty bedding and to find blood stained pillows absolutely disgusting! Not safe at all. People just smoking in their rooms the corridors stunk. Bare smack heads as well. Customer service was 10/10 they opened the doors for us Rooms: 1/5
