Great traditional pub. Excellent beers, both craft and cask. Service spot on as well. If you like beer and visiting Liverpool this is definitely worth a visit. Also across road from a micro craft bar which was excellent craft only.
Good real ale pub. Friendly staff and a chilled atmosphere. Happy with the hygiene measures in place. Raspberry lager was fruity and delightfully tart.
What a pub. Great beers and a huge range of them, friendly staff, a good menu which had, according to my son, the best fish fingers he had ever tasted, and according to me, a bloody good pan of scouse that was almost as good as I had made for me as a kid. Definitely worth a return visit.
A very well run pub,covid alert and social distancing in place nie staff have not been since last lockdown but hope it opens again soon Derek Moores ps meals are great and Liverpool is now in tier 2 so you can try the 100,s of real ale choices lol you know what I mean Derek
We visit on the first Tuesday of each month for the SciBar held upstairs. Our September visit was combined with a meal and a taste of the four beers brewed by them! In total, there was a choice of 11 beers on offer. Staff friendly and helpful, food excellent and SciBar always offers something of interest.
There are so many beers to choose between, so go for half pints, in order to remember what they tasted like... The staff is super friendly and gladly helps you to find a beer that you will hopefully like! Also, there is no irritating background music, so you can actually talk to each other.
Good local feel, good real ale selection. Friendly. Food pretty good and cheap
One of the best bars in Liverpool. Wonderfully massive beer selection and staff was fantastic and really lovely despite the crowds before the big match.
