Decent old fashioned British pub. Sport on the TV. Rev James on draft. Lots to like. Never too busy, never over quiet. Friendly staff. Take cards. Beer can get a bit cold in the winter due to cellar temperature. Otherwise you get a good night out, no hassle, no frills. More a drinking pub - but see some eating too earlier on usual bar fayre.
The Vernon Arms is just the type of pub that I look for, a good old fashioned boozer with some magnificent real ales on, all on top form i might add. As i expected the bar staff were really friendly and asked what sort of beer i wanted, giving me a few tasters on the way, and i went for a Cheshire Cat which was perfectly poured and went down a treat, so i had to get another as it would have been rude not to. 10 /10, a must for real ale drinkers. Ps I couldnt rate the food as i don't know if they did it.

Great pub on the corner of a lane. Good selection of beers available. Music played in the background. Only reason it didn't get 5 stars was that the toilet cubicle door was broken and wouldn't lock. Apart from that, no problems at all. Also friendly bar staff.
The owner was the most amazing person. Made me feel most welcome. I would highly recommend anyone to stop by for a drink while in Liverpool!
Nice friendly pub in the centre of Liverpool opposite the Premier Inn. Excellent choice of beers, decent prices for city centre. Marking down 1 star as toilets absolutely filthy and stink. Need a full refurb.
Asked for clean beer glasses three times, eventually got asked to leave?? Glasses we were presented with definitely covered with previous drinkers rings. Wheelchair accessibility: Good accessible entrance.
