Story

The Reform Club is a private members club on the south side of Pall Mall in central London. As with all London's original gentlemen’s clubs, it comprised an all-male membership for decades, but was the first to change its rules to include the admission of women on equal terms in 1981. Since its founding, the Reform Club has been the traditional home for those committed to progressive political ideas, with its membership initially consisting of Radicals and Whigs. However, today it is no longer associated with any particular political party, and now serves a purely social function."The Reform" (as it is known in common parlance) currently enjoys extensive reciprocity with similar clubs around the world; and attracts a significant number of foreign members, such as diplomats accredited to the Court of St. James's. Of the current membership of around 2700, some 500 are overseas members, and over 400 are women.History19th centuryThe club was founded in 1836 by Edward Ellice, Member of Parliament (MP) for Coventry and Whig Whip, whose riches came from the Hudson's Bay Company but whose zeal was chiefly devoted to securing the passage of the Reform Act 1832. This new club, for members of both Houses of Parliament, was intended to be a forum for the radical ideas which the First Reform Bill represented: a bastion of liberal and progressive thought that became closely associated with the Liberal Party, who largely succeeded the Whigs in the second half of the 19th century.

One of the most distinguished establishments in London offers an exceptional culinary experience, complemented by courteous and professional service, all within a welcoming and comfortable setting.
Stunning Private Member’s Club with incredible history and pedigree. Grand reception area and intricate detailing in other rooms. Great breakfast dining options as well with tasty and fresh meals - helpful staff as well.
Lovely club on “ club row” in Mayfair. The staff could not be nicer. The food is excellent and it has a relaxed club feel. The decor and club have not been well maintained and are in need of a fresh coat of paint. There is a lovely garden with Lutyens style benches where drinks or afternoon tea can be enjoyed. The rooms leave much to be desired. We booked 4 months in advance and ended up with a room with no windows in the attic. There is no AC and minimal amenities in this closed dark space. They did renovate the bathroom but again with only a skylight this room is dark and closed in. If there was a fire these room would be a disaster to be in. Enjoy the lovely staff and service but avoid the rooms.
I was invited by our local MP at this club hidden on the south side of Pall Mall, an iconic private members' club steeped in history and charm and I must say it was an experience to remember. We enjoyed two exceptional wines from their impressive collection, a 2005 Château Margaux, an superb Bordeaux and a 2009 Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, a Burgundy that was nothing short of sublime.
We dined here with 50 guests for a special birthday, a grand occasion in one of the most famous London clubs, where Phileus Fogg suposedly left for his 80 day voyage around the world. A comfortably large dining room with good company, food and wine. We took the bus back to our apartment to reintegrate with normal Londoners :-
Excellent menu and such delicious fish dishes, with St Mont white wine; fine dining at the reform.
Wonderful club with thoughtful staff who were very accommodating for my elderly mum. Greatly enjoyed dinner and the interesting selection of wines!
Amazing historic building. A world apart from the restaurants and bars of central London. Members and guests only I think. And dress code applies.
Stunning inside and out. Wonderful service. Excellent evening had by all. I Would reccomend.
Definitely a 1st class experience if you can afford it. Don't tell anyone where you got these pictures
