I've been here quite a few times now. It's a nice place, conveniently central, with a reasonable selection of beers and wines. It's a members only place, but if you are a member, or know one, I'd recommend it. If you are a civil servant, or an ex CS, especially one who finds themselves in Westminster a fair bit,I'd consider getting the membership.
The Civil Service Club is members only - or you can get in as a guest of a member, as I did. The food and drink prices seemed very reasonable, particularly given the neighbourhood, although I'm not sure how many visits you'd need to make the membership fee worth it. While I wouldn't seek this place out as a place to eat or drink you have all of central London to explore, after all, it was a nice place to chill and enjoy a breather around a heated outdoor table. It was easy to forget we were just a couple of minutes' walk from the hustle of Trafalgar Square. That said, all the inside tables were occupied on a Sunday afternoon.
This is a great place for drinks and food in central London. My food was delicious and prices are reasonable. Returned 3 months later and a great food and service also.
Great meeting place for friends and colleagues. Perfect location 5mins walk from Charing Cross station. Great beer and food. Went here for a retirement do for a colleague. Will return.
Membership is reasonably affordable compared to a lot of other private members clubs. In return, you get a conveniently located bar and restaurant whose pricing is also quite reasonable. Service is friendly and efficient. Yes, it's not the fanciest place, but I like going there.

For the first time in many years felt let down by the CSC this week. Have to drink non alcoholic beer at the moment and found 3/4 pint can of Guinness Zero is 50p dearer than a full pint of normal Guinness at £5.60. What’s the mark up on that!! Bonkers.
Welcoming club serving a wide-ranging daily menu. Always good quality food, sizeable portions and very reasonably priced. Indoor and outdoor seating. Facility to book rooms for your event.
Great location, lovely relaxed atmosphere, price and quality of food and drink beats anything you will find elsewhere in London, room clean and comfortable, and staff friendly and helpful. It's obvious that a lot of people work very hard to sustain this happy oasis, thanks are due to all who contribute in whatever capacity.
Great service. Helpful staff. We had a great time for our Sunday lunch
