Great letting agency. Probably one of the best in Cambridge. Very professional, friendly, quick response, good communication, all problem being dealt with quickly. They have their own building/maintenance team, reasonable maintenance cost and reliable, things get repaired quickly. Very good service highly recommended.

TERRIBLE
They dress very well and smile but...

Paper work: They tried to inappropriately charge me with fees (700pound) that they were not supposed to, and it seams that they tried the same with more people from the university.They did not apologised for this. In the very last moment just before signing the contract, they asked me to sign additional documents relatively to energy bills, wish they have never mentioned before. They did not apologised for this as well. 

During the tenancy: The key provided could not open the front door of the house. I didnt got keys for some of the doors that I should. The place they rented me was full of dust in the floor and windows and the heaters at maximum power during a summer hot day. During my tenancy I was ask by them to provide my keys as they lost the copies they had.

My experience with RAH has been wonderful - and I was purchasing a property, so I'm not the one paying their fees! Despite not being their actual client, they were helpful at every stage of the process - booking viewings, making offers, getting closer to exchange, negotiation, completion, and finally picking up the keys. The entire process was very pleasant and professional, especially my contact with Pauline at the viewings, Helen and Ellyn in marketing, and Jane for exchange and completion. It is so rare and refreshing to find an estate agent that is transparent and helpful, that I told them this a number of times - and I wasn't trying to butter them up. (I had even avoided viewing one particular property with another company because of an extremely poor experience with said company at a previous viewing.) When friends heard that Redmayne Arnold & Harris were the marketing agents for properties I was interested in, they said they were very good, but it was great to experience that for myself, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them or use their services in the future. Thank you to all at RAH for a great experience as a first time buyer!

PS: And just to add some balanced constructive criticism - one point for improvement would be to have outgoing emails from RAH Sales set to reply-to the correct address, so I didn't have to keep putting the address in manually. Emails sent to the default address would eventually reach where it needed to go, but obviously with some delay. Jane did tell me about this, but it was confusing nevertheless!

Poor service, very disappointing - shame as on the surface they appeared fine. They handled my tenancy badly after taking my deposit.
