3 night stay in late July, will definitely be returning. Beautiful building and perfect location. Great breakfasts and the evening meal we had here was excellent. Great menu choices, lovely bar and welcoming and helpful team. Room 7 was spacious and comfortable, there is noise from the courtyard but this is advised on the website and the staff are very good at ensuring that this doesn't extend beyond 11pm. Overall, a comfortable and lovely stay. Strongly recommend.
August 6-7 Enjoyable break, Comfortable room, breakfasts good, Nice pub, good choice of beers. Perfect location for travelling to Exeter. Parking to unload can be a problem in the day time. Holman Way Car Park is a good choice as you can walk via the rear of the pub and it’s a short distance. We would stay again.Rooms: 5/5
Great place to stay very near Exeter . In the restaurant there were cute cosy alcoves for eating. The food was good. There were outside spaces to drink in the pub , clearly a popular place with a cheery crowd . Euro cup was on when we were there and England won at that stage - which added to the cheeriness of the place. The rooms were large with empty spaces . That took away some of the warmth and gave it a quasi modernistic feel . But overall the Hotel had nice atmosphere. The staff was friendly and helped with the luggage . There were good toiletries , biscuits and tea making. A pleasant place
We had a great stay at The Globe in Topsham. Rooms were nicely decorated and had everything we needed, including tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer etc. Only negative was that the room did get quite hot August and the fan wasn't great at keeping the room cool! Pub itself was really nice - decent beer garden, great choices of beers and ciders. Didn't eat there in the evening, but food looked really good. Breakfast was superb and plenty of choices from the breakfast menu.
Great pub, awesome service, friendly staff and open to all. Went with 3 friends after being turned away from two other pubs in the area as they were closed at 10pm ???, the Globe is open till 11pm normal pub hours. we received a warm welcome and enjoyed our two rounds of drinks and snacks. Will definitely return with friends and family in the future.
People watching old friends the morning after a wedding,Sunday breakfast was a smash hit. £15 each for a menu item and buffet, and tea or coffee. My salmon on eggs was scrum, and high marks for the bacon on pancakes from my better half. The buffet was nicely dome with enough fruit and baked goods to please. Not many health food type options, and the juice wasn’t topped up, but well worth it. Followed by a stroll through Topsham to male a most pleasing Sunday morning out. Food & drinks: We came just for breakfast and walked around Topsham after. Breakfast buffet and a menu item is £15 and became brunch. Noteworthy details: You can go for a nice breakfast without staying in the hotel.
This is a lovely hotel, we enjoyed an overnighter there last night. Right in the middle of town with 24 hours parking 5 minutes away and close to all the restaurants. Friendly staff, spotless rooms with all amenities. Super comfy bed and fabulous shower. A restlful sleep with no outside noise. We will definitely return next time in Topsham.
Excellent food and service. The roast beef was really nicely done, and the portion sizes really generous. The staff were really friendly and helpful. It is in a great location, albeit there's no street parking directly outside, which is nice once you're outside to be fair.Service: 5/5
We stayed one night at the pub and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We ate dinner at the pub and then breakfast the following morning. The food was delicious. We found all staff to be professional, friendly, polite and attentive. Could not fault the staff at all. I'm sure we'll return one day and explore Topsham further.
Lovely restaurant, styled as an old fashioned English pub. We were served by Josh, and he was very attentive and wonderful to be served by. Brilliant service, tasty food and a lovely setting. Would recommend.Service: 5/5
