The Royal Air Force Museum Cosford offers a fun, entertaining day out for all the family. With over 70 aircraft on display throughout the museum - which is also situated next to an active airfield and RAF base - we are the only attraction in the Midlands where you can get to so many breathtaking aircraft for free.

A great place to see lots of aircraft from many era's. Admission is free with a £5 parking fee. Indoor and outdoor exibits, interactive cockpits and simulators. Small cafe in the visitor centre along with toilets and a mobility scooter loan scheme. Plenty of parking available though I'd recommend booking an early time slot as it gets busier as the day goes on.
Cosford is an amazing place to visit.. Give yourself plenty of time for the museums, shop has some awesome bits in too. Was here for the Air show 12.06.22, and it was well organised and a Really good day out. Down side is trying to get out, seriously needs addressing a bit better. But if you wait, they open the back gate near the bridge x
Fantastic day and free admission easy parking. Wow amazing history and planes very well laid out really interesting and awe inspiring .loved every minute The staff were friendly and had some great conversation on all my questions. Highly recommended a visit .
Loads of military aircraft and aerospace related things to look at. Free entry, £5 for parking, kids play park, decent cafe. Well worth a visit if you like looking at flying machines.
Amazing !! There’s nothing better than history! There’s every type of military aircraft from days gone by. You couldn’t even begin to imagine what’s there ! It’s a great day out. I like to take a packed lunch and sit on the grass in the sun, You ain’t be disappointed
Great place for a day out, love the new play area to keep kids entertained loads of planes with information and head phones to listen to voice messages. Only downside was some of the other interactive thing that was there before have been removed. Would be nice to see inside a few more planes as my children enjoyed viewing inside. All in all a great day out only paying for parking.
Great for a family day out and a lot of history would recommend as something to do especially in the school holidays. Remember going back when I was at school place brings back some fond memories!
Royal Air Force museum. Free to visit. Online booking is strongly recommended. The size of this site is huge, with collection of many aircrafts.
Absolutely a must see site! Soo many planes with facts and stories to see and read dated back decades. This was our first time visit with my partner and 3 children and have been meaning to go ever since and I'm so glad I did now as I walked away with an experience I would never forget. And that I've recommended to my family & friends to visit.
An absolute must for a lovely day out. Nice cafe and play area, awesome exhibits with knowledgeable friendly volunteers on hand. A bargain at £5 to park with free entry. Donations are easily made via contactless points at site. We love our visits to Cosford.
