Excellent place to start your journey around Ironbridge. They have a great model of the Gorge explaining all the industries that were centred here. You also get an idea of how the geology of the area, with the Gorge cutting through allowed relatively easy mining of the the mineral resources of iron ore, limestone, clay and coal, which with the abundance of water provided the basic materials of the Industrial Revolution. Add the the fact that Quakers, although educated were barred from professions like law and had to go into trade and you have the people who started the Industrial Revolution.

It's difficult to decide which of the Ironbridge Museums is the best as they are all so good.
The way that they have been set up to give a living presentation of the place at the start of the industrial Revolution is excellent, from the shops, engines, both static and the traction engines to the artisans really makes the history accessible to all ages.

One of the Ironbridge Museums, by far one of the smaller ones if not the smallest (with the exception of Derby House). Somewhat dated now in the way in which it depicts the history of the george, . Not worth the individual ticket price but as part of the Passport you can purchase which gains you entry to all of the museums a great addition and without which the "True Story" of the area cant be fully understood or appreciated.
