Interesting local museum, particularly if you have a connection to the area. It contains a few specially unusual items included captured items from the American War of Independence. It is housed in Shrewsbury castle. parts of which are difficult to access, no criticism of the museum however, it's in the nature of the building. Otherwise an inexpensive afternoon. The grounds are well laid out and peaceful, good place to picnic perhaps (take litter home) and Laura's tower, in the grounds offers very good views across shrewsbury. worth a visit on a dreary afternoon.

Fantastic collection and well displayed. Really enjoyed my visit. A fascinating history of one of our fine regiments... covers most major campaigns of the last 300 years or so. Had a nice quiz to entertain the kids too!

Was expecting a museum about the castle. Not clearly explained. For military information it is fantastic
