I rented a Triumph Street Twin 900 while visiting the UK from the USA in April to see the beautiful surrounding countryside. Shab was very helpful and patient with me when i arrived at the shop. He is a real motorcycle enthusiast ,so we had a lot in common. He gave me very good instruction on the operation of the bike, which did not let me down. The Triumph ran perfectly and was a joy to ride I now want to replace my Honda with a Triumph. He provided me with a helmet and rain suit too! I thought the rate was quite good as it was all inclusive insurance etc . All in all a very good experience. I would rent from here again.
Document everything because they will steal your money. Non roadworthy rental bikes. Currently stuck in a dispute with them because I trusted them. Dont fall for Shab's nice guy act Edit: I raised a dispute with my credit company and raised this with citizens advice and they returned my money as per their section 73 of credit agreement and in line with consumer rights act of 2015. If i had the time, money and energy I would take you to court which is why I waited until now before going public with this. You are a criminal and a liar and should be reprimanded. I will not let you get away with this. The story: This was the third time i rented a bike from them. In the past the gears got stuck and left me stranded for an hour but i thought maybe its because im learning. This time, i picked the bike at Monday 4:30 with half a tank, rode all the way to camden, turned the bike off to go into tesco, when i came back the bike wouldnt turn on. This was around 5:45. Not sure how you have a mechanic shop and claim that i killed the battery while i was riding it. So i called them that night but no answer because the shop was closed fai enough. I managed to park the bike at one of my friends' over night so it doesnt get stolen. Next day i called them trying to resolve this and they told me to call RAC and that of course if anything is wrong with the bike theyll refund me. I asked them to email me this, they ignored my emails. RAC scheduled for Wednesday 10AM and they jump started the bike. I called and told them that Id like to bring the bike back after work and they said no problem but we will close the shop so you're gonna have to leave it outside and hand the rented helmet to the shop next door. I asked if they could email me that just so we can have this agreed. They ignored my calls and emails all day. At 4pm Shab answered and says no we won't email you and everything is at your own risk not sure what you want from us. When they saw that Im asking for documents and Im trying to do this the right way their nice guy act dropped. So instead, i rode the bike back to my place to park it safely and refueled the tank. On thursday day when my rental was due to end i took a half day off to ride it back and rid myself of this hassle but the bike wouldnt turn on. I called them and i called RAC. They told me that they wont tow the bike unless it cannot be fixed on the spot. They came, examined and towed the bike back. After a week of radio silence i ask for a refund and they say that the bike is working perfectly and that i had flattened the battery. I rented a bike with the expectation that its road worthy and that I dont have to spend a week trying to turn it on and return it to you. You wasted an entire week and youre just a bad person with the way you treated me and i genuinely wish that you get what you deserve.
I rented the Bonneville for a couple days while visiting London, and it was easy to set up online, they were responsive to the questions I had, and the pickup was quick and easy. If you're visiting from out of town I'd recommend brining a handlebar phone mount for directions, and make sure you line up parking before hand. On my next trip out I'll be renting from Raceway again - thanks guys!
Rented a motorcycle for two weeks, took care of it well, I was accused of damaging the motorbike and was forced to pay upon return. I should have taken a complete video of the bike prior to departure but it was raining, the bike was outside when I arrived, and the rain covers up subtle scratches. Even if I had taken a video, which I suggest you do, the scratch that my deposit paid for would not have shown up. The owner is picky, had me by the tender parts as he was holding my deposit, and forced me to pay for a minor scratch to the handbrake lever, even though the lever was not broken and worked properly. In fact, in the picture, you can see the brake handle and its condition a mere two days prior to me returning the bike. It had a scratch on the ball of the handle. The motorcycle was in good condition and I otherwise enjoyed the experience.
I rented from here as they were the only rental company that allowed me to strap my own luggage to the bike. The NT1100 was great and made my trip that much more comfortable! I went to the Isle of Man and did the NC500 in Scotland. It has Honda’s dual clutch auto which took some time to get used to but I did close to 4000 miles in four weeks so that should say it all!
I had a fantastic rental experience with Raceways. I rented a 125 for 11 days to get some practice and more experience after my cbt. About halfway through my rental the temperature dropped significantly and the battery went. Raceway came within a few hours and replaced the battery for me while I was at work. Overall they were extremely helpful and am looking forward to renting from them again soon.
Very helpful and easy to communicate with prior to hire and on the day at shop. Was cheaper than hiring from elsewhere in the UK, oddly enough, you'd expect London to be more expensive. Since I had friends to visit it worked well for me, but always do your research and see what's best for you. Have an NC750 at home in NZ so was great to be able to hire same bike here. Topbox and paniers were included although I didn't need them all. Bike handled well and was great for the 10 days and 1100 miles I did on it. Would be happy to use the team here again. Thank you.
Hire of 125cc bike to get some practice last weekend with fresh CBT. Very quick, no fuss, friendly service. Everything was straightforward. The bike was in good condition and I really enjoyed the experience. Not expensive, and just around the corner from Surrey keys overground train station. Thanks. I will be back perhaps try one of the bigger bikes once I have passed the driving test
Amazing rental service, guys from the shop are really friendly and communicative. They've helped me a lot explaining all the rules and terms, given several suggestions on the places to go and traffic rules. Fast and that's possible to return motorcycle on non-working hours. Their Honda is amazing and fresh, would recommend for anyone.
It was my first time renting the bikes form these guys, and I had a wonderful experience. The staff was really helpful and nice to us. We faced no issues when renting, and there was 3 of us. I would recommend this place to anyone who's looking to rent. The bikes were brand new and the price for renting them was really cheap. The deposit was a bit expensive, but as long as you return the bike safely, they won't look for faults just to take your money. 5/5 Staff and 10/10 experience altogether.
