Great little course with seating available for £2.00 per person. Lovely roast dinner available too. Staff shortages meant that the queue were too long at the bar/cafe and parking for the general public needs better sign posting
Excellent friendly staff Great place to spend a day out. Disabled are well looked after, will be back. Well, did go back and as thought fantastic day out staff excellent will go again book your tickets in advance and save a few pounds
Attended the stitch fest event November 2022. This was a great venue for it as more space than previous venue for more store holders and very nice there was a cafe/canteen to rest in. The only issue I see going forward is that the room was very full. Almost felt like venue will soon become too small for this event. But really enjoyed it. Can't wait for next year.
Very nice little independent track, well spaced out with plenty of access for viewing. Sadly 01-07-22 can only be three stars, no big screen for viewing the races from the Grandstand made it a poor experience. The contract wasn’t being fulfilled and notice was given the biggest negative was the shear lack of bar staff on a busy Friday in summer, nice weather encouraging walk up trade no doubt. Totally inept at times with incompetent workers. The prices all round were fair but sadly when finally served, beer was constantly warm from the tap! Poor effort Newton Abbot, and with a bar not even being used available. The carvery at the racetrack looked and smelled very nice and was popular but the outside offering of Pork rolls and stuffing was awful. Dry stale bun with very little filling. Price was fine, quality was not. Racing side here is good, sadly the hospitality side is dreadful. Lots of punters left well before the last race, not hard to see why. Why do events like these get let down with inefficient teams working with small numbers constantly? Trying to save money on labour and it’s not just here.
Always fun for different things here this time was the Circus and a brilliant one it was too
First meet of the season and it was very busy. Even though we bought our tickets on line we still had a 30 minute wait to get in. Only one person checking bags. Seemed a bit chaotic. Then there were the queues for the bar. My husband queued for over 30 minutes to get a drink. We were chatting to some locals who said that it was the same the previous year. It's a lovely course and we would go again but not to the first meeting of the season.
Outstanding day out, great atmosphere As you can imagine, the food is dear for what you get, only issue never enough bar staff or drinks always run out every year, but with all that said I still live this place
Beautiful little racecourse but the Catering Facilities were dreadful. Beer Queue 1.5hrs, Food 45 mins. Totally unacceptable The ground must have lost thousands of pounds in trade.
what a great day at the races, up close and personal with the jockeys and trainers, delicious pork baps and a great hospitality and crowd and plenty of winners...A real must in Devon
Great racecourse, if lived closer would attend more often
