Came with my friend for lunch on 20/11/22 had the new festive Camembert burger and it was incredible! One of the nicest burgers I’ve ever had! Staff were lovely and polite, pub very clean!
We went for xmas lunch last year and it was fabulous great atmosphere the food was amazing. We Went this year and the pub was open to everyone nit just people having lunch. There was some real loud and lairy characters in there and it spoiled it. The Xmas lunch was nice however there wasn't a lot of veg on the plate and the starter took almost an hour to arrive. It wasn't cheap it was more expensive than last year which I can fully understand however we and a few other diners we were talking to will not be going again due to the pub being full of loud and lairy customers whilst you are trying to enjoy a meal you have paid a lot of money for
Not the best - very few vegan choices - restricted to vegan nachos and waffle chips, hubby had surf n turf and asked for steak to be rare- it was medium to well done - last minute choice to come here - you could tell food was pre- cooked as it took 7 minutes from order to on the table - the nachos were cold with cold salsa and a very small drizzle of sheese sauce - not good. Waffle chips were ok though and our guests liked their food too - hence 3 stars
Popped in for tea all burgers had to be sent back second attempt not good either they came back in the same buns bacon burnt missed out jalapeño &onion rings were re fried returned mine again with refund food utterly rubbish. Duty manager apologetic &very polite hats off to him
I had had a bad experience here some years previously. But this time was a lot better, the food was good but you could tell it was pre prepared which is understandable. But when you can get two meals for £11 you can't go far wrong can you, let's face it a Mackydees is about £7 a meal.
Stopped here for a quick bite to eat after a day in the City Centre. Nice pub, quick friendly service. Easy to order via app or you can place it at the bar.
Popped in for tea, steak and ale pie was delicious. No soggy bottoms. Good quantity of filling, and a generous size too. Mixed grill was just as nice. Pub had a fare few people eating in and we didn’t have too long to wait for our food. Overall an enjoyable tea time out. Staff very pleasant and courteous.
Great atmosphere, with lots of local activity. Wide range of beers and soft drinks and the food menu is massive! Love coming here.
Staff are friendly enough, loads of lagers on tap but only one ale when we where there. Fairly expensive though, around £5 a pint. Standard pub grub
Just been in and enjoyed a lovely magnum of prosecco served by Robyn and Ash, great pair of bar staff
