Really good menu variety and price of food, just what we wanted. Good sized Sunday roast and fish & chips. Good place to go if you're staying in the Hampton Inn. Warm friendly service. Lots of ales on tap but I didn't try any!
Nice food, shame about the service. The food is excellent but the service is poor. When we walked in the door on a Wednesday night That was not busy it took far too long for the two people behind the bar to acknowledge our existence, we were walking out when someone decided to say hello. Should have left as the sevice didn't improve.
I hired a room for a meeting and was most impressed with the room itself, very elegant and light, the provision of teas various types, coffee and biscuits and the helpfulness of the staff. The toilets were immaculate. I would definitely recommend Brigantes, will come to have lunch next time I am in York and sample their food!

The food was ok, but the service was too slow. We waited for almost two hours before we got our food
Food was very good and filling. They serve sunday roast and it was spot on because we were starving when we came in. The menu isn't too big, but just right to have some diversity, but not give you choice problems. The staff was very nice and helpful. Even the bathrooms were clean and nice.
Good place good food at a fair price
What a fabulous place! Great beer selection, friendly locals and lovely staff. Oh and the food! The pie was outstanding! Thanks guys I'll be back and I advise you all to pay it a visit
