Great, traditional, fresh food. Easy going atmosphere. Well priced drinks and food. Staff helpful and professional. Been several times and always found it 10/10
The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly and attentive to our needs. The only disappointment was that we waited quite a while for the meal, it took around 50 minutes to arrive after ordering which felt long for a pub. Apart from that everything was wonderful!
Top marks for the cross keys. Staff were amazing and were very attentive but not intrusive. All social distancing measures were been adhered too. Fabulous and definitely recommended

Nice pub,loved the fireplace and Pints of Doom Bar
It's usually our first port of call when in York, to enjoy the excellent food, Nicholson's ale and customer service. This time we noted how well the social distancing and customer safety was implemented to the pub's organisation. Well done; still an excellent venue.
Lovely homely pub visit jest before lockdown - great staff I will be back soon I hope
Don't know how good it was it was full and why would the man behind the bar feel the need to shout across the pub to see if I had a table booked why didn't he just come to me.
We had a great time enjoying the cask ales. The food was terrific steaks and Nicholsons pie. Staff are super friendly, the table service was a bonus.
