Lovely to meet Megan on Sunday, classic pub, great beer and atmosphere. Nice fire too.
This pub is one in a million… great friendly atmosphere and very welcoming…. Very well kept beer
Great little off the beat pub friendly and warm Megan is a joy and they sell BASS on draught small piece of heaven on earth
Lovely old pub very quaint. Landlady was very friendly, made us feel welcome. Spotlessly clean.
- Bass or Pedigree - only ales available - Cash only - Very much a "this is a local pub for local people'" feel - Whilst I admire that the landlord has maintained a classic feel/format, as a passing visitor it was not really to my taste. Nor was it particularly welcoming. - However, the what was served was decent enough not that I particularly like Bass or Pedigree, and it's clean and tidy pub.
A quiet country pub set just off the main road between Derby and Wirksworth. The pub is in an attractive eighteenth century building and serves very well kept draught Bass. A lovely place for either a winter's evening with its open fire or a summer's afternoon in the garden. Opening times can vary a little and a lack of customers may result in early closing but overall this is a very pleasant setting for a good, traditional pint of English ale.
Really like stepping back in time but lovely place and great prices.
Proper pub, one of the few left near duffield. View was from the road outside towards Windley.
Went to here on our first date 11/12/2009 Lovely pub and nice staff. Was hoping to go back to night but it's sure a shame the pubs are closed due to covid..
My local for over 40 years. Good beer but expensive. Great old fashioned country pub..... Landlord looks like Cotton from the pirates of the carribean films
