Good food. Nice family atmosphere. Nice view over the weir from in side even if you don't want to sit out. Not my first visit and I'm sure I'll be returning.
lovely pub with good pub food all served by a helpful, tentative, friendly staff. The food is good and reasonably priced. You can sit outside by the river or at the front of the pub.
Good very reasonably priced food, service was excellent and staff extremely friendly.
it looked like a nice place at first, the building was nicely decorated, But the food was a completely different story. I ordered the Christmas burger and it was absolutely vile, i couldn't finish it. They don't even ask you if you have any allergies or tell you what else is on the plate on some menu's but the burger came with chips, the chips were nice on their own.. apart from the cheese on top, which wasn't even made optional. Will not be coming back.
Cheap food cheap quality. We went for sunday dinner. And it wasn't expensive. But the quality of the food is bad. I had roast beef and I'm not joking it was that cheap sandwich beef you get in a packet. The staff were working very hard and were very good at there jobs. They would have to be the amount of complaints they had to put up with. They felt embarrassed serving the food but it was taken out of their hands due to the amount of budget they were aloud to buy and sorce the food to give to customers. I give this place one star but to be honest even that is to high. I give them half a star.
The service wasn't great me and my partner both felt like they didn't want to serve people, we both ordered the same meal but I had half as many chips and we didn't have what the menu said we should. They later said they ran out of some things and just gave us the meal without them. We both ordered chicken and it tasted like it had been steamed or something, really sloppy and didn't taste very nice at all. We wiuld have said something about the quality of the food but no one came and asked how if eveerything was ok with our meal or cleared the table even after walking by our table multiple times. At the end of all that it was relativity cheap but don't expect much in the way of food and service the only thing you expect.
Good menu choice with a separate 'specials' menu. The place was clean and the service was quick and couteous, and the food good value. Nothing really to complain about, but the music was a little loud for a lunch time. Good for families with young children.
Good food and decent sized meals! Wide range of items to choose from On the menu and s great price! On the rare occasion, food comes out warm rather than hot bit that is only on their busy periods.
Typical cheap and cheerful pub food with polite staff, but the whole place is in dire need of refurbishment and a good clean. Even if the food had been excellent the surroundings would continue to be a dreadful disappointment. We probably won't go again because of this.
Called on a bank holiday Monday at 2.30 pm. It was slightly busy but not heaving and waited 50 mins for our meal, which the barman informed us about. I got my starter along with my partners main course. Never mind! Both our meals were generous were good value. All and all, it's a freeze and fry chain, you know what it's all about especially when you pay up front!
