Great gym. Just need to move the squat racks they are way to close!! Have to bend and twist to grab the plates on and off. And the evenings seem to be full of kids. Other than that great gym with a good atmosphere.
It's a small place it's pretty handy coz I'm local, £11 a month is good value for money because I'm unemployed and have diabetes.
I shouldn't give a review of this place as I work here. Pure Gym Sheffield north is a budget gym with just gym equipment both cardiovascular and resistance equipment. Offer free classes and personal training is available here. By myself and 7 other top quality personal trainers. The functional area is a great way to do a circuits or bootcy based exercises see the photos below
Timing is important. Going in the morning will give you access to all equipment. In the evening, it can get a little busy. Expect a minute or two wait time on chest press, weights etc. Everyone in the gym including trainers are really nice. If you ask nicely, someone will help spot you or allow you to take it in turns on equipment
Great place to workout, plenty of space and equipment. Trainers are very polite, dedicated and helpful. Lots of free classes for members. Water and shower facility available. There's a separate section for women if they need. Can be a little crowded at peak times but you don't have to wait long.
Was able to train, stress free. Everyone seems to be wiping down there equiptment and the place is generally tidy. Good vibes to train your self and others 5*
First day back at a gym after the Covid-19 pandemic, so it's been a while, I've put on loads of weight during the pandemic and was nervous about starting back again, Nicole gave me a tour, answered all my questions and made me feel at ease! So a big thank you to her from me !
Lockers have seen better days. Its a cheap gym but it does need upgrading. Staff are really great at the gym. Always helpful. Be careful parking outside on double yellow lines anytime. The Tesco entrance is closed but tickets are still put on cars by traffic wardens. Even in the evening when other businesses are closed as well. Its not fair really because the lines are to keep the access to Tesco clear and because its closed people park there. I had two before I learned. If I can't get parked now I go to another Pure Gym location. Other parking options mean a bit of a walk. Even saw one disabled driver get a ticket at about 8.00pm when there wasn't many other cars about for displaying badge wrong. It's a bit of a liberty by Sheffield City Council I think.
The gym itself is great value for money, you can't fault the place for what you pay for it. Good range of equipment, good classes if that's your thing, staff are helpful. The only thing that really lets this place down is the members. Some of them are right dirty sods, leaving equipment out, not cleaning up after themselves. I feel sorry for the staff who have to clean and tidy up after them.
Cheap and cheerful place to work out. Staff a great too.
