I love this gym. There's lots of equipment, staff are friendly and approachable and it's excellent value for money. There are times, however, when there isn't a single member of staff in sight. I do think that from the point of view of health and safety, someone should always be posted upstairs or downstairs. The entrance doors are also somewhat temperamental and most of the benches downstairs have broken headrests. I would tend to agree with the gentleman who said that it was time for refurbishment.

A far cry from when it was Sam Jones. Beginning to look shabby. The finger identifier just never works so you can’t enter the place. Showers faulty with doors Brocken and some showers not working. Some equipment old and broke. Can be cold in gym sometimes. Sometimes it’s hard to locate a staff member. I don’t think it’s value for money anymore, there’s other around here now. Such a shame I used to love this gym but it’s going down the loo. It’s in need of a complete overhaul.

A good gym, however extending the opening hours to perhaps 6am - 10:30pm, or even better, 24hrs would bring 5 stars. D.
