What a refreshing place to deal with! We are fixing up a vacation home so we have been ordering A LOT of stuff online. As happens, we sometimes order the wrong thing or the items are not available within our needed timeframe - this is often times a problem. I ordered an atypical wall switch that I need and was expecting it relatively soon - I was contacted by PROLIGHTING this AM to tell that it was backordered and would not be available for 6 weeks. As this would not work for my needs, I requested that the entire order be cancelled - within an hour I had an e-mail back cancelling the order and another telling me where and how my refund had been processed! Not sure how big this company is but the quick and personal manner in which this was addressed is VERY IMPRESSIVE! I will definitely be contacting PROLIGHTING for any future needs. I ordered some lights and brackets from this company for a horse riding arena. Once the lights and brackets were to be installed, it was determined by my electrician that the whip or wire wasn't long enough to fit through the recommended bracket and leave enough slack to make a connection. Each and every light had to be completely rewired which cost me about $1000!! On top of this, the lights recommended absolutely do not meet expectations for remotely coming close to lighting our arena as I was told they would. It is my impression that the sales team needs more product knowledge to better advise customers on optics and fixtures. If you have specific needs for outdoor lighting I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere for lights. I have $5000 in lights and brackets that I can't use.
A fantastic experience. Gary went out of his way to help me pick out correct outdoor replacement fixtures and to upgrade internal recessed fixtures to LED. He listened to all my questions and concerns. Spent almost 2 hours with me! Would use them again in a heartbeat.
Good people. I have worked with Gary on two commercial projects so far and everything has been done as promised. Will for sure use them again in the future.
i was very disappointed with this company. Searched online for a certain type of light switch. A very small item. This site came up on my google search , so I went to buy it. To my surprise, only after I was forced to enter my email address did they give me the total with shipping, and the shipping is outrageous for such a small item. I understand I live in Hawaii. But I receive and ship stuff all the time, and one thing I know: USPS charges the same within the 50 States of the USA. It costs the same to send a letter or a small package to Chicago, or Denver, or Maui. So I know that s light switch would not cost so much to ship. Anyway, I didnt complain or anything, I simply did not submit my order, nor did I open an account. I just abandoned the webiste and bought the light switch at Amazon, with free shipping, and the light switch was also cheaper. So all was good. Until they start sending me emails!!! I unsubscribed following the link at the bottom of the email. I still received another email. I wrote customer service asking them to remove my email address from their database. But instead, they sent me another email! Saying that I need to open an account with them in order to be able to use their customer service! Outrageous. I have now blocked this email address so their emails will go straight to the garbage. But the point is that they have no right to keep the information that someone enters when trying to buy something, when there was no sale, no order, and no account. Everything should be removed. Fortunately, most companies online respect very much customer's privacy rights and preferences regarding emails. But obviously this comapny is not one of them. Will never do business with them.
