We went to see MJ The musical, the show was excellent and the theatre was great too. Seats were comfortable and our view of the stage was great from the dress circle. Staff were very helpful and pleasant.
We were in London for a few days and wanted to see a show in the West End. There are so many to choose from, and it is overwhelming. We decided on MJ The Musical at Prince Edward Theatre. It turned out to be a great choice. The Theatre is lovely, but that show is magnificent! The music, dancing, costume design, set design, and book all blew us away. I was literally on the edge of my seat through the last half of the show. We were in Dress Circle 18 & A19. I think these were the perfect seats. If you get a chance to see this show, don't hesitate, you will not be disappointed.
Nice fairly large theatre, comfortable & roomier than some. Decent toilets & bar with not much wait when I ordered our drinks. Our view was decent & unrestricted. Photo taken from my seat which was on the second row of the upper tear, the grand circle.
We were in London for two weeks and decided to go to a theatre. With so many great options, we all agreed on MJ the Musical, and it did not disappoint. Although the security was tight, the venue was clean, the staff friendly, and the location convenient. The show was magnificent, keeping everyone on the edge of their seats. The set design, lighting, effects, and sound were top-notch, leaving nothing to complain about. But we weren't allowed to film during the play, which is fair.
I had the chance to attend the Michael Jackson show, and I must say that the quality of the performance was outstanding. The artists delivered a top-level show, with incredible choreography and a production that truly honors the legacy of the King of Pop. Without a doubt, it's a show worth seeing. However, the conditions of the theater left much to be desired. The seats were so close to each other that there wasn't enough room to stretch or move comfortably, making the experience quite uncomfortable. Additionally, the lack of proper ventilation made the atmosphere feel heavy and stuffy at times. It's unfortunate that such a fantastic show is overshadowed by the conditions of the venue. It would be ideal if the theater improved its infrastructure to provide a more comfortable experience for the audience. Despite these inconveniences, I highly recommend the show for anyone who wants to enjoy a spectacular tribute to Michael Jackson. Just be prepared for the lack of comfort in the venue.
MJ the Musical is a great production. Perfectly cast and of course the music was great. The story told gave some insights into his troubles but the star was Michael, it could almost be him up the singing and dancing. Great performances by all the cast. Loved it The Theatre and the staff were fine. Love that I had good leg room. The pre show and interval drinks were very reasonable indeed. Bar staff very pleasant and speedy. In all a great night out.
In one word: fantastic! We had a fantastic night out in the Prince Edward Theatre. It is one of London’s most beautiful and majestic theatres located in the West End. It offers a magnificent setting for the performance of “Michael Jackson: The Musical”. It combines historic charm and grandeur with modern facilities and very friendly, professional staff. The lyrics, songs and vibes of “Michael Jackson: The Musical” resonate perfectly even in the highest rows where we were seated. The seats were soft and comfortable. The spectacle was visually supported by fantastic lighting. During the interval we had drink in the theatre bar served with a smile by the staff. After the performance we went for a drink and snack in one of the various nearby pubs. It was an unforgettable experience!
Really enjoyed my first West End experience watching MJ the Musical at this fabulous old theatre! The box office staff were fantastic with us and made us feel very welcome and even gave us a free upgrade from the upper circle to the lower stalls! So all in all wonderful time for my birthday watching the amazingly talented Myles Frost and the rest of the cast and live band….do yourself a favour and come and see it for yourself if you love the genius of MJ!!
The Prince Edward Theatre is a prominent West End theatre located on Old Compton Street in Soho, London. Opened in 1930, the theatre has a rich history of hosting a variety of performances, from musicals to revues. I saw MJ The Musical here. The music, and acoustics were very good and the seats were comfortable.
Update, went again & will go again. Blown away, this time sat in the boxes, no one blocking my view but the music system didn't feel as thumping as in the stalls. Choices choices lol!. MJ concert, just wow!. It was one of the best shows I've seen. Was close enough to see & hear the dance steps. The actors were superb & sublime. Very emotional in some places, actually moved some audience members to tears. Would highly recommend this show. Definitely going to go again!!. Thank you for the most wonderful experience.
