One of the biggest theatres of the west end. It's a lovely theatre. We watched Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. An amazing play in two parts. So you are there for all the day from 2pm to 9:30pm. Great magical tricks. Love that all the tricks are mechanical rather than special effects. Really recommending the play
Went to see Harry Potter and the Cursed Child at Palace Theatre in the West End. The theatre was beautiful and the play was phenomenal. The special effects, story line, and acting were all top notch. This is a very long play, but definitely worth the watch while you are in London. Highly recommended!
Went to see Harry Potter and the cursed child play at the end of September. It was fantastic. The staff were friendly shout out to Emma!. She is one of the nicest staff members I've ever spoken with. The theatre is beautiful. I sat in the stalls, and the seats were comfortable and had decent leg room. For reference, my partner is 6ft2, and he had no issues with leg room.
One of the most imposing buildings among the SoHo theatres, the Palace Theatre was rightly chosen to host some of the longest running productions, such as Les Miserables, and now - Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. It has an amazing architecture, and it towers among everything else around. Inside, it”s old opulence is still striking, and is well suited for the productions it hosts. The stage is enormous. Its height and depth must be a fantastic playground for any stage producer with good imagination and skill. However, as with all old opulent theatres around, it needs a little modernisation, a little cleaning, a little dusting it must be quite a trial to have to perform every day in that dusty stale air, some carpet changes, and much much better lighting, especially at the public exits.
Wow. Worth it. We were especially lucky to catch very family affordable upgrade seats to bring us all from the way back to the way front thanks to kind staff members who gave us the heads up about a few affordable upgrade seats near the front being available for both Parts. We did have to split up into pairs for our new seating arrangements, absolutely worth it though. Tough luck for Ron Weasley, who was sporting an English Jersey under his costume, which was shown at curtain call, and the English supporters later that evening. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is highly recommended for a fun family day at the theatre.
Went to see Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. The entry and ticketting process is very smooth. The bag check is very efficient and courteous. No food and drink but you can bring sweets. We sat on the balcony which was very steep seating but we had a great view. Not sure how tall people will cope as ever for me it felt quite cramped. Well worth the experience.
Went to see Harry Potter it was amazing would definitely recommend. Staff were very helpful when asked about break times. There is a bar inside for drinks which is nice. The toilets are clean
What can amazing theatre. It feels really grand and seems really apt that Harry Potter and the cursed child is on there. The staff were great and were really pro active in stopping people using phones during the performance by shining a torch on them. We were back row of balcony and it was a long climb up the stairs but the view was decent and didn't really impact the show although there was a bit right at the front of the stage which was slightly impacted.
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child was absolutely phenomenal!! Amazing acting, props and effects! Beautiful performance, felt like we were watching a film but live! It was one of the best theatre productions I’ve ever seen! Row A was great views!
The show was absolutely brilliant. The seats were restricted view but we couldn't complain because we won free front row tickets via lottery on the todaytix app. The cast and crew were absolutely amazing. The acting and the theatrics saved the show we all know the story is bogus. The staff was so helpful and nice. Some fellow audience members, not so much, kept bumping into my boyfriend's injured leg and didn't even apologise. But all in all, a must watch for the Harry Potter enthusiasts to feed the nostalgia.
