Loved our stay here. The room was spacious enough, well equipped and most importantly very clean. The host can literally not do enough for you, and her attention to detail is second to none and she is super lovely too. The breakfast choice is good and tasted great. Even saw the local butcher bringing his delivery on arrival for breakfast! It only takes about 15 minutes on foot to get to town, so was an ideal location. If we were to come back to Scarborough, we would almost certainly come back here.
After a not so good start to our journey, we had the warmest welcome on arrival. The room was lovely clean and relaxing. Breakfast was tasty aswell. Perfect location only 15 mins walk to the sea front. Parking was easy outside with a permit given to use on arrival. Definitely would stay here again. Tina was brilliant with my 3 yr old and he fell in love with her.
Very good and quiet location just a few minutes walk from the town centre and the beach with shops just around the corner. The room was clean, warm and comfortable with amenities available. Let's get one thing clear. If you want Mercure standards, go and book a Mercure hotel and pay Mercure prices. Yes, there are tiny little things you could moan about if you wanted to waste your life on minutiae. This is a lovely b&b that offers far more than the price charged. The breakfast was first class, free parking available and best of all, the wonderful host Tina who makes sure everything is OK for you. If like me you're sensitive to noise which you get in any hotel I've found just take some ear plugs, otherwise you'll be fine i cant believe someone actually moaned about seagulls making noise - lfmo!. If I ever do come back to scarborough, I'll be booking here again.
Lovely little B&B made to feel very welcome by the host, super friendly, rooms very clean and cosy and breakfast was lovely. Highly recommend Rooms: 5/5
Tina was an amazing host very friendly and chatty made us feel like we were home from home ....answered any questions we asked pointed us in the right direction...room was cosy had everything we needed extra blankets if needed heater if needed room was clean ....plenty of options for breakfast nothing was too much trouble ....we visited for our little honeymoon break and we can't wait to visit again .
Myself and my husband got married last week and decided to have a little break in Scarborough after all the madness! We absolutely loved our 2 night stay at Powys lodge. The rooms are lovely and cosey, the breakfast was great and the owner was so hospitable and accommodating. Thankyou so much we will definitely be back Rooms: 4/5
Well situated for a short walk into town, the room was immaculate and very clean, great host and amazing breakfast. Very good value for moneyRooms: 5/5
The owner is lovely and welcoming, and the breakfasts were great. Also her Covid safety arrangements are very good. However, our double room was small and a bit cramped. There was no room for bedside cabinets, so there was only a tiny shelf on each side, barely big enough for a book, and just enough space to walk past the end of the bed, but not to pass each other. My side of the bed had barely enough room to get in and out. There was nowhere to put our bags, so one was squeezed onto the dressing table stool and the other on the floor. There was no room for a chair, so the bed was the only place to sit. The en-suite was very tiny with no elbow room. I had to open the shower doors wide and the door to get enough elbow room to brush my teeth. A very large person would struggle in there. Toiletries are provided which is good, and there was tea and coffee making facilities in the room, with biscuits, which were appreciated.
We'll run b&b with good covid practise. Very amiable, friendly and helpful host. Great breakfast and parking arrangements. Convenient location to Scarborough town and coastal path. Excellent clean establishment. We had a nice presentable room with bijou shower room. Great value for money. Would recommend.
This was a lovely lodge / guest house , the hosts was really nice people, Tina the landlady was out when we arrived but her husband Shaun done a good job, we we just on way out when Tina arrived back she introduced herself and was a lovely bubbly person could not fault her , our room was very clean and had everything you needed , comfy bed , breakfast was excellent to great choice and good produce , would definitely stay again
