We loved our stay at Cornerville. The twin room was super comfy with a warm duvet on each bed and Irish linen sheets. Coffee, tea, mints and biscuits were in the room to welcome us. Andy cooked and served a full Irish breakfast with a full-on traditional table settings. What a treat! His adorable Yorkies Maggie and May helped us overcome missing our pups back home. Ever the host, Andy provided transport to nearby Howth harbor where we had the freshest fish and chips and Irish Seafood Chowder ever! @BloodyStream. Andy is an accomplished B&B host. Thank you Andy. The B&B is not clean, the bed needs replacing, and the bedroom needs repainting. Not worthy of a high rating. Generally, an unloved building. The host is quite friendlyRooms: 2/5
Positive: We stayed one night in this b&b. We received a friendly welcome and were informed/advised about restaurants and bars in the area. Negative: Unfortunately, we cannot understand the good reviews for this B&B "hotel". The twin room was not clean. There were cobwebs and dust throughout the room. It hasn't been cleaned properly here for a long time. There was also blood ? on the curtain of the window. The bathroom was also not in good condition. The shower was very dirty, the hot water on the sink didn't work, and the light on the mirror didn't work either. There were mold stains clearly visible on the walls. Others: We had ordered a meal in the evening, which we ate in the B&B. We put the packaging next to the trash can in the bathroom. The food packages were brought to our car by the host immediately after we checked out.
Wonderful B&B in the most beautiful area of Dublin, Howth; with a lot of cute restaurants and a lovely cliff walk. The rooms are huge and very clean. Andy, our host, was just the funniest man and so helpful. The breakfast is delightful with al lot of variety. If you are staying in the area of Dublin, I would really recommend this B&B, because it is only a 25 minute drive with the train from Howth to the city centre of Dublin. And you don’t have to worry about parking your car and driving into the big city. Lovely stay at Cornerville!
My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights and had a great time! Andy was a kind and welcoming host who made a great croissant. The room itself was spacious with a peakaboo view of the ocean. They do keep the heat a bit low but there was plenty of covers to stay warm. He also has 2 Yorkies for any dog lovers out there! I'd stay here again if I was ever back in the area If you are going into Dublin, listen to Andy's advice and take the train. There is free parking at the Howth station and it took about 30 minutes to get to downtown Dublin. The first day we took a taxi and had to wait 15 - 20 minutes just to get picked up and took the train the following day and it was much easier.
We only stayed one night at this lovely bed and breakfast. I would definitely recommend staying here longer to enjoy Howth and Dublin. There is a train very close that will take you to Dublin and Howth is a lovely Harbour town with a lot of character and good food. Our hosts Andy and Helen were wonderful and breakfast was great. Andy shared a glass of wine with us and some good stories! We would definitely stay here again.
Can't recommend this B and B enough!! Our first day my wife injured her leg in the City Center watch your step on the cobbles and curbs. Andy went above and beyond to help me take care of my wife. Breakfast was fantastic and the Yorkies, Maggie and May made her smile with their antics. Beautiful back garden, quiet and homey. 20 minute walk to the train and 30 minutes by train to city center.
My husband and I stayed here for our very last night in Ireland due to the fact is was close to airport but still in a beautiful area outside the city. The owner of the B&B was very friendly and accommodated the fact we had to leave early in the morning. We had breakfast at 7:00am and he had a menu with all delicious options. Room was clean and the bathroom was large, which is nice! I would recommend staying here!!
Location was very convenient to town, only about 2 minutes drive, and also about 10 minutes back to Dublin. Rooms were spacious including a large bathroom. Breakfast was wonderful and our hosts Andy and Helen were fantastic.
3 room b&b in the howth Peninsula, closeish 3km to the Major bay Area. Run by an incredibly friendly bloke Who had great advice on the surroundings. Unfortunately the room was lackluster, about Half a Dozen spiders and cobwebs above the bed, a ridiculously heavy blanket possibly previously used by the spanish inquisition as torture device, kept alternating between much too hot and too Cold, the door to the WC screeching and hard to open and close, the toilet Flush very loud and longwinded. Very good Breakfast and very friendly, feel kind of bad about this review because he was so nice but at the same time really exhausted with this type of 20 years out of date room an having to clean off spiders.
