Beautiful and quiet here....... always a lovely warm welcome...... great breakfasts from fruit and yogurt to a full English.

We stayed here for 7 nights and we couldn't have been made to feel more comfortable and welcome and at home .  Pam and Paul are excellent hosts, friendly, attentive to your needs.  The location is lovely and quiet, the rooms are immaculate in furnishing and decor and spotless.  Nice touches to make it feel like home, even home made cake!  Breakfast was the best cooked breakfast I've had in a long time.   Could not recommend highly enough!

If I could give 10 stars I would. Poppies is without question the finest B&B I have ever stayed in & that's all down to owner Pam's meticulous attention to detail and her impeccably wonderful hosting & communications. 
Because residents are also welcome to enjoy the rest of her & her husband's beautiful house, you couldn't get a better experience at the Dorchester at 10 times the price. 
Forget the Four In A Bed TV competition, Poppies would win even if it were a Four Hundred In A Bed competition. 
If you do book though, make sure you do so well in advance to avoid disappointment.

We booked Poppies as it was close to a party venue and was convenient, but we couldn't have been more delighted with booking. The owners are really welcoming, helpful and friendly. The rooms are lovely and the one we were upgraded to opened up on to a pretty garden with seating. Bedding was lovely and there was complimentary home made cake to go with the tea/coffee. A lovely touch. Breakfast was excellent. The best B & B we have stayed in. Can't recommend Poppies more highly.

Comfortable, quiet, spotlessly clean, everything you could think of was provided including a delicious breakfast.
