I was told I was being very aggressive just because the rude nurse kept cutting me off and not letting me speak, I told them I hadn’t ate or slept In 2 days and had taken gabapentin codine and tramadol to no avail, the nurse cheekily said “you don’t have a fever and your talking” which was purely from the little affect the drugs were having and dismissed/cut me off. I wasn’t aggressive I am sick. This has been a reoccurring issue at this practice and it’s a disgrace I have to come back every 2-4 weeks for the same issue without resolve- when I said I kept getting ill she said “it’s not my fault your sick” . They’d rather make you come back 20 times in a year and keel over then provide reasonable or adequate care so that you don’t have to come back, so they can focus on other patients. I have so much respect for the health care system and the people who work hard everyday 24-7 365, but this simply isn’t good enough. If I get worse then I am I will be looking into contacting representatives due to malpractice, failure to provide adequate care and discrimination.
Nurse refused to treat me without having my blood pressure taken. I do it myself at home as normal cuffs cause bruising. She said they couldn't offer pain relief for the conditionn I had gone aboutas they couldn't do prescriptions. So what is the point? Not a very nice nurse. Probably in wrong job
I’d actually love to make an official complaint about the nurse who triaged me. Didn’t listen, dismissed everything I said and told me they probably couldn’t help. I’d been asked to do a urine sample, didn’t even look at it. Told me I didn’t have a UTI Desptie literally ticking every symptom of a UTI and being treated for one the previous weekend I was told I may be stomach pains. So so rude, I wish I’d got her name tbh. I went outside while my mam waited, called 111 Told to go to cramlington ED. Which I did, was seen by the loveliest doctor, who listened assessed me, asked for urine sample which I said I had brought with me, took one look and said well I can see just by looking at it you’ve got a bad infection, blood cloudy, everything u UTI looks like. He was appalled when I told him, about the walk in. Got me some proper antibiotics and painkillers and told me if no improvement in 48 hrs to go straight back. Absolute waste of time!!
Been there today as I keep wormiting and had really bad stomach pains . Waited 45 minutes for a triage , and then the nurse tell me that they cannot do anything. Didn’t even check my stomach or anything , all she did what check my blood pressure .nAm lighskin and I can tell when someone is racist just by looking at the person , her tone and body language showed that she didn’t want to treat me .nOut if blue she tells me it’s 3-4 hours wait , so I don’t think there’s any point you waiting when we cannot do anything about it .nSo I went to the RVI and guess what , they found that i have a really bad infection and actually treated me .nI reported everything, goodluck
Phoned ahead and was told I could visit without an appointment but would probably have a wait of up to 2 hours, or could try 111 and get referred with an appointment time. Went for drop in option, was triaged very quickly and then had a wait slightly under 2 hours to be seen by a nurse practices. Got the antibiotics I was looking for and referred to RVI Assessment unit due to my blood pressure being high. The service from reception, triage nurse and nurse practioner were all excellent. Very lucky to have this type of drop in centre in our area.
