I had excellent service today. I was referred under the rapid access scheme. I was seen promptly and indeed one appointment was brought forward for my convenience. The staff were without exception pleasant and reassuring. I only wish there was a staff list so I could thank everyone who helped me by name.

I was not well as i’d just found out,i had 6 blood clots on my lungs.Colonoscopy department were really nice and careing.There preffison was 10 out of 10.Thankyou so much xxx

Staff were friendly and reassuring, the department isn't scary - but, there needs to be a lot of work on being LGBTQ+ friendly.  Even just confirming gender or pronouns with their patients they kept calling me a woman and addressing me as 'miss', or having a message on the wall to reassure people they can state these without prejudice, would go a long way. I was fine but there are trans people struggling with gender dysphoria who will feel especially uncomfortable in this department, they need reassurance from the staff that it's a safe place for them too!
