Came here with a group recently. The service was fantastic, a nice atmosphere too and food was really nice. Got the salt and pepper chicken, egg fried rice and jasmine tea. Well worth a visit, will definitely be visiting again.Food: 5/5
I have visited this place two times before and writing a review for the third visit. I wish I would have given it 5 stars. We ordered 4 to 5 things between three people. Crispy duck: was ok, can skip next time. Egg fried rice: the rice was very plain and no herbs or veggies included Pork ribs: this was star of the dinner. Very succulent and rich. Perfect spice level. Malaysia chicken curry: was nice but had too much skin this time. I ended throwing away a lot of skin. Overall the staff was super quick and was attending well. Food arrived in time despite busy Saturday time. One particular staff by name of Mei was very attentive and ensured that our phone and bags were secured as we were dining in open street. Two things that didn’t go to well. 1. I fell ill after eating here. My family members were fine. 2. There is 12.5% discretionary service charge. The waitress would still expect you to put a tip over it, which I had to respectfully refuse. Other than that quite nice. I will possibly try other places before I go back here. Vegetarian options: There is a vegetarian version of all curries on the menu.
This is a popular Chinese restaurant right in the heart of Chinatown that serves a vast menu of Cantonese food. I’ve been there a number of times before mostly for dim sums. Quality of these tapas like small plates in Plum Valley is probably middle of the road but prices are quite keen. Glutinous rice stands out amongst the others. But the chicken dish cooked with oil & spring onion was rather disappointing. Meat was dry & overcooked. We were pretty disappointed as we had better experience before.
We visited on Thursday 11th July 2024, we booked in advance but it wasn't needed as the restaurant just opened at 12 midday. Whilst the staff were friendly and professional, the food wasn't up to our usual standard to be honest. Not as tasty as other dim sum restaurants we tried. The restaurant itself was very clean, well presented and a good feel to the place, the food didn't quite meet that in our opinion. We felt it was trying to be a "posh" Chinese restaurant when it wasn't.
Visited Plum Valley last night for my birthday dinner and it was amazing. Really good food and great service. I would definitely recommend eating here if you are in Chinatown.Food: 5/5
The hospitality was amazing. Really like the welcome drink idea. The food was great. Especially manager Nadi's behavior was amazing And all foods are budget friendly. Food: 5/5
For me, this is the best restaurant in Soho! Every time we go there, food tastes the same and it is good quality. And trust me, I have been to a few! Service is not bad, but nothing special either. Highly recommend this place!Food: 5/5
Smart looking restaurant in the heart of China Town. The vegetarian selection was limited despite previous reviews stating they were plentiful. Nevertheless the food was generally of a good standard. The spring rolls were crispy and flavourful whilst the dumplings were vibrantly coloured with delicate outer layers. The Kung Po mock chicken had a luminous red colour and was a sticky, sweet heaven. Truly dish of the day. The vegetarian lettuce wraps were also surprisingly tasty with an assortment of fresh, crunchy vegetables being enclosed within crisp lettuce alongside sweet plum sauce. However, the chilli and garlic tofu and salt and chilli mock chicken dishes were bland and chewy. Service was abrupt and bordering on rude. It was also rushed and it seemed like too much effort to provide explanations of the dishes. Seating was also cramped with 10 people being squeezed onto a round table fit for 6 people and this detracted from the overall experience.
This is the best Chinese food ever! Soo much to choose from, all absolutely delicious. Best find ever. Service was lovely and helpful and patient while I took so long to decide what I wanted. They sat our group of 6 very comfortably on a Friday night without reservation. Great Margaritas too!Food: 5/5
Nice Cantonese food at China town. Plum Valley restaurant is off of Shaftesbury Avenue and Gerard street inside China town. They were too busy when I reached at lunch time. But to my surprise they had attended dedicated for outdoor taking care of needs and attending the table promptly. I had chili garlic tofu in Cantonese style. It tasted delicious! Vegetarian options: Try their Chili Garlic bean Tofu
