I recently visited Beijing Dumpling in London and had a delightful experience. The sweet and sour chicken was perfectly balanced with a tangy and sweet sauce, and the chicken was tender and flavorful. The dumplings were a highlight, expertly crafted with a savory filling and a delicate wrapper. The cozy ambiance and friendly service added to the overall enjoyment. Highly recommended for a satisfying and authentic Chinese meal in the heart of London.
Admittedly, we pigged out at Beijing Dumpling. Instead of selecting the set menu, 2 of us basically ordered a lot: the crispy duck with the pancake which was divine, the honey pork ribs which tasted fantastic, the freshly made xiao long bao, and the crispy soft shell crab. We also ordered spinach and egg fried rice BUT they didn't serve the order. We thought that they forgot about it but they said they didnt serve because the table was small, but they didn't notify us either. We just did take away for those instead. There's lots of space inside for 1-2 people, however, larger groups will have problems.
Peering through the window we watched them make our dumplings. This was the hook that drew us in. We knew we were getting fresh and authentic dumplings. With literally hundreds of Chinese restaurants in China town how does one choose. We didn’t realize until after we left and saw a the long line that we knew we chose well. The menu is a bit overwhelming and hard to decipher for the uneducated. We over ordered not knowing how many dumplings were in each dish. The dumplings were flavorful albeit a bit doughy. The soup dumplings were in a broth rather than the broth being in the dumpling. This was one of times we misunderstood the menu. In the end we were well nourished. Service is quick as they turn the tables around about every 30-45 minutes. Plus the small wooden stools are not that comfortable. Expat Tip: order less and if you want more you can order a second round.
Super clean , nice ambiance , slow service ! Soup dumplings were delicious pork and vegetables and the noodles were out of this world , make sure you wash it down with a nice Tsing Tao beer, enjoy !Food: 5/5
We visited London for the first time and chose this restaurant for our lunch. The service was very helpful and friendly. The food was served quite quickly, and everything was very good. We tried several different dishes, and there was nothing we could complain about. Highly recommend.Food: 5/5
This was the first restaurant I went to in China Town and gosh the food was so delicious! Not too expensive and every dish worth it. I don’t have a benchmark to compare it with though as I don’t eat Asian food usually but surely this food was worth setting a benchmark.Food: 5/5
Amazing food! We ordered crispy aromatic duck, dim sum platter, honey garlic ribs, xiao long baos crab and pork were delicious, and dry fried ho fun which was our favorite!! Totally recommend :
I was hoping for a good meal based on the reviews, and this place delivered. Excellent food and great service. We were there at around 9pm on a Saturday night, and the queue was about 50 people deep. We were a party of 5, and we were seated in about 45 minutes, which wasn’t unbearable. The fiery soup dumplings were outstanding, as were our entrees, and the servers were on point. We’ll definitely go back.
The food is excellent. Very good taste, well prepared. But the service is really bad. Waitresses don't seem to care about you or your order. My order came 20 minutes late when all my family received theirs and finished eating. Nobody cared even when I asked where my food was. Only the male manager was helpful and nice.Food: 5/5
We have dined here twice now in two years. Both times the food is delicious a d freshly cooked. The dumplings are fantastic!! I like the fact you wrote down what you want to order. The waitress suggested we had ordered too much food, we trusted her and she was right. We will definitely returnFood: 5/5
