Story

Welcome to the Golden Phoenix Chinese Restaurant. It is located in Gerrard Street, the heart of London Chinatown, this superbly renovated restaurant is one of the largest with a 350 seating capacity and 7 private rooms spread over 3 floors. Its contemporary luxury and elegant interior design provides a relaxed atmosphere for a unique dining experience at an affordable price. We specialize in Cantonese cuisine, but also provide authentic Szechuan and Malaysia cuisine to suit every palate.

There are plenty of culinary surprises in this restaurant, especially its Dim Sum and other famous dishes - try our Crispy Duck and Shredded Chilli Beef. Good comfortable and spacious place, spans across 3 floors. Not like other congested claustrophobic places in chinatown. The food is tasty and served at right temperature. There is a minimum table order. Please check before going, i think it is £10 per person, not for a quick bite stop. Must try Roast duck Deep fried soft shell crab
This is a great place to have dim sum with a solid selection of dishes. They come out quickly as you would expect and your tea is regularly refilled. The food itself is good and is the star of the show. The restaurant is surprisingly big with 3 floor by my count and there's a lot of seating so it can get busy and bustling. The staff are nice enough.
I love this place . Have been coming here for years . Food is good , service is good , staff very friendly . Prefer of to my old place . Here solo diner's are welcome. 23/08/24- I came here yesterday too . Wanted to try their soy chicken. I am glad I did ! It was scrumptious. Had my usual chicken's feet too . 8/10/24 came here again for chicken claw in black beans sauce fix , it was yummy Also had the soy half chicken
Nice restaurant beautifully decorated with very good service. Inside is big with over 3 floors and food is good. Soups could use a bit more flavor but the dim sum was very good and cooked to order. If you like dim sum, this was pretty solid.Food: 4/5
A nicely decorated restaurant spread over 2 floors. We had the dim sum which we both really enjoyed. For my main I had the chicken chow mein which was good but not great. Although I didn't dislike the food at all I thought that it was probably a bit overpriced for what we had. The service was very good the staff were very helpful and friendly. I would almost certainly go again. China town can be a bit of a hit and miss so overall pretty good
Nice authentic Chinese dim sum and full of flavours. Staff was tentative, quick service on food. I completely understand they are busy due to the number of tourist and lunch time rush but felt rushed by waiting staff when there was no queue outside considering we were there less than an hour.Food: 4/5
Looking at other reviews, i think i got unlucky with the food i ordered chicken satay skewers the chicken was hard and very stringy but i’m not mad about the portion size as i wasn’t hungry at all to order a full meal. On the other hand my mother enjoyed her noodles. I think i will come back here and try different noodles again. There is a £10 minimum per head! The service was fast and we were greeted at the door, staff were friendly and welcoming and worked suuuuper efficiently!
I’ve been to this restaurant a few times and must say the service is fantastic however I would say the food was nice but it has definitely been better before , but between 6 of us we definitely had enough food as the portions are big enough to share around and for the price it was definitely worth it .Food: 4/5
Food is always fresh and prices are reasonable. We ordered 8 dim sum dishes and a plate of stir fried Ho fun noodles. Staff are attentive, friendly and service was efficient - food arrived within minutes of each other. Our tea was also refilled without us asking which I give top marks for hospitality! Always a pleasant experience! Place was packed but service was kept to the highest of standards!
Insanely good meal with very reasonable price. It’s so good that the focus was on food and not taking pictures! !! Any and everything is delicious!! Highly recommend it to fellow Asians missing home dim sum!!!Food: 5/5
