Located in Trinity Gardens in the heart of the Quayside in Newcastle, Piccolino brings a true taste of Italy to the heart of the city. The restaurant offers a wonderful combination of both modern and classic Italian dishes prepared in an open kitchen in full view of diners. Our dishes are rustic, simple and delicious and are created using the best, freshest ingredients.

Good Food. Not a large variety of choice but the basics are there. Little pricey and the pizza could have used more cheese. Was there on a staff Christmas party so wasn't to disappointed.

On the day before the great North run. People wanting to carb load. They didn't have enough staff on and so the service was slow. Gave us two free bread platters and free round of drinks for the long wait. Food was good when it finally came. Fire alarm went off. When got the bill they had put on the free bread and free drinks. But they removed that. Would of been higher rating if it was not having to wait so long.

Family gathering after the elder daughter's graduation. Fabulous welcome, treatment and enjoyment. Can't praise the staff enough and the food was equally as good. Every dish from starter to dessert was quality offering. You do pay more than some high street chains but it was really worth it. And getting loyalty points on top is a bonus
