Don't buy animals from here, or from chain pet stores in general, please. Their care is abysmal and they are cruelly mass bred and bought for the cheapest price- to be sold to you. I don't think I've visited a single time without seeing dead fish in the aquariums, or groups of syrian hamsters (which are supposed to live alone!) packed in the same tank. Thank goodness live reptiles are no longer sold.

My experience was great. A woman showed me the ideal running wheel. She checked online for better deals for me. When I got to the counter the man set me up a VIP card which I have been longing to have. DEFINATLY spending my money here again. I own a hamster and there where two whole isles for hamsters! But I do wish fir more selection on climbing toys as there was about 2. Thanks a lot Sam xx

Staff are always very friendly and have, personally, found them very helpful and knowledgeable. Good prices and they seem to manage the queue lengths very well by adding staff to the tills when needed.

I have very mixed views on large chained pet stores and have only visited a couple of times, I purchased a guinea pig from here and she was all healthy and fine even to this day However the staff don't seem to know very much at all about the animals, I had to sex the guinea pig myself and did my own health check A week before my sister visited and asked about a rabbit in the adoption part to see what breed she was, the response was "I don't know it's just a rabbit, they're all the same to me" which put her off buying when I visited to buy my guinea pig I told the same man who spoke to my sister exactly what breed the rabbit was as well as some of the others they had in store - he didn't like the fact I knew more than him but I didn't really care I told him anyway! Unless you know abit about the animals your interested in buy I'd recommend going to The Ark in Paignton instead NOT here

it would be 5 stars but I do find that it is limited on staff most of the time and on busy days. saying that though the staff that are there are very pleasant.
