Would have been 0 if I had the option. My car was vandalised here on 23/03/19! Was really worried about parking my car here as well since there seems to be a hell of a lot of car theft and vandalism in Birmingham. I've reported this to the police and made it clear there is CCTV here but when calling the non emergency number today the woman on the phone sounded like she didn't really give a damn and was quite rude! I really should have read the reviews first as I've now seen the amount of car crime thats happened here and clearly nothing has been done! What is the point in CCTV if it is not even being reviewed when we have reported?! I feel sorry for anyone who lives in Birmingham as I have the choice to never visit again!
This is now a building site
Visited this car park on 8th Dec. We are, with being visitors, unfamiliar with the area so thought that it was cheap and quite close to the center. Great wide parking spaces- hence the two stars- but that was it. No lifts available so had to use the urine stinking stairs, the design meant that the same ramp was used for both up and down movements so big cars forget it. We got back to the car after dark and there was no lighting whatsoever on our level making it quite scary and the rest of the car park was poorly lit to say the least. Badly needs upgrading along with better security even if it means upping the fee a bit as its so close to the town center it would still be well used it was full when we went. Better still knock it down and build a totally new secure one!
AVOID!!!!! AVOID!!! Cheap car park at £4 per 24h but now not worth the depressing scenes and squalor. Third visit in 4 years to the city. Car park was fine the previous two visits but now feels very unsafe for both person and property. Groups of rough sleepers on the stairwells. Birmingham has a massive homeless community Stairwells have that familiar car park smell with vomit, urine and needles amongst other things littering the stairs. It seems the car park might be getting ignored before demolition???? As the whole area is undergoing massive regeneration. One to avoid from now on. Is it worth paying less for the stark depressing consequences of UK's failed austerity policies? Never ever use this car park with children!!!!
DON'T GO THERE!!!!! I highly advise everybody not to go to this car park! I still have nightmares about my recent experience there! Using the narrow staircase might be life-threatening! Especially the first and second floor was occupied by a group of junkies injecting themselves when we went down! We were so shocked at what we saw that we went on downstairs horrified and had to come across these people. If they hadn't been drugged up to the eyeballs at this time they might have robbed us or even injured us with their needles! Next to them the staircase was full of extensive vomit! It was so bad I didn't even mind the urine smell! We took a taxi back to the car on the 6th floor, so all in all we could have afforded a cleaner and more expensive car park! As a foreign visitor to Birmingham I have to say that the city council should immediately try to do something about this deplorable situation in this car park, which otherwise would be well situated for exploring the city!
Cheapest and best car park in city centre. Price has gone up. But still 2 quid for 2hrs u can't complain with that and a 5minutes walk from bullring, 2 mins from China town. Perfect really. Rather park here than in bullring itself. Much cheaper. Only disadvantage the stairway can stink of wee but that's car parks for you! Overal I still give it 5 stars because no other car park in city centre comes close. Just makes sure you've got pound coins spare ready for the machine
As cheap as it is for parking in the area it was rather grim. So never going by car to Birmingham before I was told by a friend to come to this car park as it's one of the cheapest as I was staying over nite in the area. Going in it felt dark and grim but what was worst was when we discovered no lifts, we had to use the stairs and there was a strong smell of urine and needles laying about and a homeless druggy person just outside the door. Made me feel unsafe a woman with kids alone.
This car park seemed okay, then we went in the stairwell, there was a strong smell of weed coming from somewhere in the carpark. There was hand written comments on the walls complaining about needles being left on the floor. Also a disturbing amount of blood, spatters and smears on the walls some brown and old but some looked more fresh. When we got back there had been bleach water poured down the same stairwell but we didn't see why because we walked in through the car entrance. Definitely wouldn't risk using this carpark again, ever.
One of Birmingham's cheaper car parks that is a short walk from The Bullring. Recent 25% rise in price for all day stay though. Unfortunately there were several homeless people housed in the stairwell and general car park is in need of a thorough clean.
+ Cheap all day parking with wide spaces very close to the centre - Stairs are disgusting, especially at the lower levels. Was blocked by several drug addicts below level 2 injecting themselves when we went down them in the early afternoon. We took a taxi back to our car! Would recommend using the vehicle entrance for walking from/to the car park.
