I booked a couple of months in advance to stay here for a period of 4 days then 3 days the following week. I was a bit nervous about leaving my car here as it is quite a nice new car and I saw previous reviews with smashed windows but I didn't have any problems. There were lots of cars there on both occasions, many which were expensive high-end cars. There were always plenty of spaces. The QR code worked well...just hold it up to the reader when you arrive and it gives you your ticket. Use this ticket to open doors for re-entry and to exit. The only thing I will say is it is not secure. The roller doors never worked for as long as I was there....and I did pop back a couple of times to go to the car and just walked straight into the main entrance. I never saw any NCP security walking around either. Good price for the days that I stayed and didn't see any problems with other cars so seems to be a safe place to leave your car to me. Excellent location for the city centre as well.
Was a little unsure of booking this car park after seeing photos of smashed car windows. But wow this car park is so secure, with doors that open with your qr code/ticket and roller doors so pretty much no-one can get in. Really recommend for the 02 academy right next door and its about a 10min walk to the bullring shopping centre
Window smashed on return to my car. Also at least one other car had been broken in to no body patrolling the car park, phoned ncp was told there was no attendant available to come and see us.
We pre-booked and paid for a space in this car park for an evening concert at the Birmingham O2 Academy next door. Unfortunately the car park was full and we were unable to park there. There was a queue of other cars in the same predicament waiting in the street as the barrier was closed and the Full sign illuminated. Very poor service on phone and chat bot lines. No staff on site. Had to park somewhere else. This was 3 weeks ago and still no sign of a refund. Will not be using NCP pre-book again as cannot rely on being able to park there.
Took over an hour to exit car park after an event at the O2 due to queues. Customer service not interested in helping to resolve the issue. Would thoroughly recommend parking somewhere else!
Locked in after concert at o2 Academy. Never thought to read reviews for car parks but after our experience of waiting nearly an hour to leave tonight I have learnt the hard way! Do not park here!
Don’t use this car park if you’re attending an event at the academy. I am trapped in this car park as I write. It took 45 minutes to get in, even when pre-booked. It’s been 25 minutes since I got back to my car and I haven’t moved. I am trapped on the roof of this hellscape. I have no food…..
I was nervous about parking after reading other reviews however I would park here again, I had no problems entering or exiting the car park with the barriers, if you're there to go to the O2 academy I advise pre booking a ticket so you don't have to mess around with long queues for the machine.
Great car park. Easy to use and not too expensive. Very secure as need your ticket to access door. Pay by card as leave car park
We found this car park to be very good. It was very secure, with roller shutters on entry and exit and pedestrian entrances secured by either using a QR code if you registered on their app or using your car park ticket. Just what you want when you are so close to the city centre. Very reasonably priced £7.95 for us, 3:45-10.30pm. Parking bays are a bit tight but there was plenty of spaces on a late Saturday afternoon. Better signage is needed to explain how QR code works - you don’t need to collect a ticket, even though the sign says you do! You use this code on your phone for pedestrian exit/entrance and finally exiting the car park. Follow the O2 signs when using the pedestrian exit.
