I was there with my family. We had a family room with two bedrooms. The rooms were clean, of a good size, with a comfortable bed and simple furniture. In my opinion, need to update to a more modern style. Street parking, plenty of space. Nice and polite teams. Breakfast was good - great porridge!
Been in several times for family reunions and unfortunately when I lost my dad last year. Staff are so friendly, courteous and go the extra length to ensure you are happy. Some family stayed in the hotel itself and said rooms were very clean and comfortable. Just been in for the Sunday carvery and cannot believe the range of food available. All foods were freshly cooked, very hot and the meats were moist, tasty and just so moreish. The range of desserts as well was out of this world, with hot and cold desserts available. I lost count at 26 options. Well worth the money for just a main course, but for 3? Out of this world!
I have been twice to this establishment for eating and a couple of pints. Sunday night is a carvery. Eat all you want for 16£. Very good food. Pleasant atmosphere. Quite busy on Sunday and Saturday. recommendedService: 5/5
The upside: the staff was lovely and the rooms were clean. The downside: there was no lift, so we had to carry our suitcases up a flight of stairs. The phone in our room did not work, so there was no way of calling for an extra towel when we discovered there was only one towel in the bathroom. The show alternated between scolding hot and freezing cold temperature which made it impossible to take a shower. Fortunately, we were only in town for one night on our way to the ferry. We would not book in this hotel in the future.
Dirty and poorly maintained. We wish we had booked in at the Premier Inn that would have been cheaper, well maintained and clean. Felt like we had gone back in time to 1992. Only good thing was the breakfast. Room 42, 01/11/2022Rooms: 1/5
It is an older hotel with creaky floors and heaps of character. Rooms are clean, staff are amazing and the breakfast is really nice too. Very traditional. Just off the main square in Thurso.Rooms: 4/5
The staff were lovely.Friendly and accommodating.The room was large but a bit dated but was comfortable. Breakfast was second to none and I must mention Mo who was the breakfast waitress.She was amazing.Had a lovely holiday and the restaurant was nice too.Would definitely be back again.

Decent food at good prices , ,service was a bit spotty gf got the wrong gin and we had to wait for the bill but that was down to the staff being argued at by a middle manager behind the bar , unprofessional and awkward for all your customers , Both starter and mains were well cooked and very tasty and room was busy on a cold Tuesday night , just a shame we were in at the same time as a manager having a strop with her young staff
Family meal. Reasonable menu. Food was good and they had an excellent selection of real ales. Service was good and the staff friendly.Service: 4/5
