Our room was already occupied on arrival, however staff quickly relocated us without any hassle. Room door did not lock; tried several doors down the hall and all opened. Restaurant and bar were advertised as serving food until 21:00, a crucial factor in hotel choice as we had a 7hr drive to get there, however we were informed that the bar would be open only until 20:30 and that the restaurant was in fact closed for the night. We were not overly enamoured with the staff's sarcasm which included "pfft this isn't the Hilton" and upon checkout "that's you free to go!" although she was otherwise polite and well enough mannered. We did not get the impression she wanted to be there.

I have stayed in many hotels, but this one will always have a special place in my heart. It had been booked for me by someone else as price seemed to be very good. Unfortunately price was the only good thing. In description of hotel you will find information about it being air-conditioned. I haven’t found air conditioning at any kind of heating that operate correctly. First room I got was equipped with electric heater with broken thermostat, so when I walked in - it was nice and toasty 30 C. They have free WiFi here, but forget about any kind of streaming. To Skype I was forced to turn it of as connection wasn’t sufficient even for voice call. Second room was little bit better with heating working, but without any control over it - thermostatic valve was taken off from radiator. If you wanna shower after day of hard work - you may be surprised like I was with water temperature- if it was 25 C - that’s it. Bath not draining properly so you are standing in soapy water. Towel stained - I don’t even wanna comment on this one. Place looks old, smells old. It is loud - single glazed windows overlooking A9 and entire place squeaks when people are walking through corridor. I can’t recommend this place to anyone despite low prices, as I won’t be coming back here. Sorry for such a negative review but I simply cannot air to leave.

Nice old fashioned hotel, good staff, nice breakfast, good food but mostly elderly clients. A sign of good place! I recommend it.

All staff are pleasant and helpful but windos to rooms are very drafty when it's windy and cold but that's down to age of building breakfast was lovely and hotel was very clean
