Good place to stay. I liked so much the room, cosy and clean. Confortable bed! The only problem that we had was with the sink, the water was draining very very slow.

The is a barrier to access the parking area. You are given 15 minutes free for pick up and drop off. The bar area is located just through the main doors. The bar is also the reception. The staff always look busy. There is a convenient smoke area just outside the main doors.

Unless you are on a business trip visiting Risley I wouldn't. But if you are it's OK. Good location. Slightly pricey but if you are on expenses why not? Actually after a bad night's sleep interrupted by the hum of the aircon and a faint smell of drains in the bathroom I can think of a couple of reasons why not. They need to up their game a bit. And may I add after another stay here the worst ambient jazz lobby music ever. The massacre of Joe Jackson's 'Steppin' Out' was especially unforgivable. Good breakfast though.

I was here for my partner's Christmas party. The food was nice, however the staff left a great deal to be desired. Given there was a large party present, I would have expected more than one barman - especially given the price of the drinks: £5 for a pint of lemonade. Service to the tables was generally slow, with staff not really paying any attention. Water was brought out to drink after dessert - an obvious ploy to drive people to the over priced bar. During the meal we had to move from the table twice so that patrons from the bar could play pool shots, and had to chase staff to complete serving. And let's not even get started on the sexist toilets, labelled "football" and "shopping".

Pricey drinks for locals who want something with a bit more ambience. Shame really because I am sure they would get more people in the bar if the drinks were on parr with local prices. Unfortunately for us here in the Birchwood area there is very little for the adults and the lack of evening facilities e.g. wine bar, restaurants seens to have become the norm as money in Warrington is spent on areas like Stockton Heath and Victoria Park etc. If the Pentahotel embraced the community it is in they would have clientele all year long and mop up as we are crying out for something more than a basic pub !
