Good value for money. A little tired decoration wise, but free parking and cooked breakfast. Comfy and clean rooms. Bar on site too. WiFi is a little week in room 6.

The Patten Arms is situated across the road from Warrington's Bank Quay railway station which itself is on the West Coast, London - Glasgow route. The hotel itself is an older building and access is by steps at the front and rear of the building (the second entrance allowing entry from the car park on using the electronic entry key which is provided on the room key fob). The rooms are again accessed by stairs and, whilst by no means luxurious, are always spotlessly clean, warm and have en-suite facilities and spacious wardrobes/storage, TV, tea making facilities and comfortable beds. The bar is situated to the right of the front entrance and sells a reasonable range of beers, wines and spirits, whilst also providing a menu for meals ranging from sandwiches to steaks/mixed grills. Opposite the bar and across the entrance hall is access to all accommodation (stairs again) via use of the electronic fob and the spacious breakfast room - Full English breakfast is included in the room price. I have always enjoyed my stays here and found the staff to be both very friendly and helpful.

Good location, 1 min walk from station. Basic but clean room. Lovely English breakfast and friendly staff.
