Nice place and is situated next to the Mayflower theatre. We had a quick bite to eat before we went to see a show. Looked like half the clientele had the same idea. There is also a downstairs with many games to play. The staff were very friendly and efficient and the atmosphere was jovial and safe. There was a selection of 5 real ale beers to try. The food was tasty and was quickly delivered. After we finished one of our group noticed that instead of having a bun with your burger you could have had a salad. Will take that option next time. Vegetarian options: There was a selection of vegetarian burgers. Parking: There is is limited parking on the street.
Cocktail evening with a dear friend turned into a lot of fun. Cocktails worth the price but could have been in a nicer looking glasses. We did laugh at the ones they use. Close to the train station so a perfect venue for a drive free evening out. Staff were very polite. Like the decor of beers around the upstairs seating area. Tables nice and clean but toilets left a lot to be desired. Dropped a star because of them. Otherwise would have given 5 star review.
Arrived without a booking for a pre theatre meal. The menu is quirky, like the owners What a lovely experience. The food was delicious, the service was brilliant, the ambiance was warm and friendly and Steve and Gary are hilarious. We will definately be back but will make sure to book in advance as we won't chance not getting a table.
Nice place, nice Smart Gentleman with top hat and tails at the door saw us to our seats. I ordered a small ham egg and chips shame about my egg, it wasn't a runny yolk so I couldn't coat my chips in it, and I wasn't struck on the chips to be honest, Hence, 4 stars! But the Staff were friendly, and there was Great music playing. Will definitely go there again when we go to the Mauflower Theatre.
Brilliant pub! Staff were so friendly and accommodating. They were fully booked tonight but still found us a table and sorted us out with food. Highly recommend and will def be back.
I was not impressed at all. I arrived with my daughter in the pouring rain at 5pm to be greeted by a man asking us to wrap our umbrellas up and put them in a plastic bag. I asked for a towel to dry my hands and was sent to the bathroom. On returning I was then told there were no tables available and they were fully booked even though there was lots of available tables. We were then sent out to the rain. After travelling from London I was not too impressed. It would have been better customer services to have been asked on our arrival if we had a reservation. I feel the need to leave a review to avoid this happening to anyone else…. and suggest that some training is given to staff. Dietary restrictions: You wouldn’t feed me!!! I didn’t spend anything and would have preferred to give no stars!!
Excellent service and food. The staff were absolutely fabulous with the children we had with us, nothing was too much bother, very attentive and professional. The food was delicious and excellent value for money. Honestly cant praise The Mayflower Village highly enough. We will definately be returning and wouldnt hesitate to recommend to our friends and family. Just fabulous.
Excellent pizza and fabulous service. Happy to box excess pizza they’re huge and put in the corner so we can collect after show at the Mayflower. Friendly vibe, great place, good value.
I am so fussy but can't fault the food here. Ordered a burger and fries and it was fab. Reasonably priced, really tasty and piping hot which is a must for me! Great job!
We have just had a lovely time in Gary the hat and his team's company. A very accomadating host who made us feel very welcome. Light hearted banter made us feel at ease. Thank you so much, you made our night.
