Lovely staff and doctors, Angela the advance practitioner was very good with my little boy who is none verbal and struggles with the doctors touching him. She has so much patience and understanding it was lovely, as I can get overwhelmed myself with doctors appointments and my boy having meltdowns. A little late on the appointment but that’s expected and something that I think is a universal thing with any doctors just to many ill people and not enough time in the day. I’ve been here just over a year And it’s so much better than my last doctors. You are all doing amazing
Whenever I have needed to contact the surgery, the reception staff have been helpful, making sure I have the information I need. Using the online econsult system has made getting an appointment an easier experience and have and been able to get the appropriate treatment quickly. If it was felt I needed to see a doctor in person this was arranged. Whenever I have emailed the surgery with queries I always had a quick response, particularly with regards covid vaccines. Having been with the practice for a long time there have been issues in the past, but in the last few years I feel that they have improved greatly and would recommend them as a GP practice.
New to the area and not had a problem. Like all doctors surgerys it can be a little wait for an answer to your call but they are very busy. Had calls, text and emails from surgery on time. Received calls & appointments from doctors quickly. No complaints from me
During the last year while I have been experiencing chronic health issues I have found the GPs , nurses and other staff at this surgery to be extremely helpful, proactive and supportive . I have received excellent care and support and I have been treated with kindness, understanding and respect from everyone I have spoken with. For example today I have been contacted twice to ensure I have appropriate medication for over the weekend. Feel very supported by this health care team .
I joined the practice reluctantly in 2017 my previous practice was excellent and have found every aspect of the service to be outstanding. Considering the significant challenges with the pandemic the service continued and still continues to be responsive. Thank you to the whole team for holding it together…. you’re doing great
Been with the surgery for about four years very helpful, receptionists are friendly and helpful even when under a lot of pressure. Doctors and nurses have been keen to help and very thorough. No doctors practice is perfect under today’s conditions but this one is as near as you can get.
I've been with patterdale Lodge from childhood to now, lived in Newton all my life. I usually have no problems with getting to see a doctor, but since Covid things have become much worse. I had to go to the surgery to book an appointment with my doctor, having not seen anyone for nearly 4 years. only a phone appointment available, I needed blood tests but had to make appointment for that, 2 weeks later! Surely that can't help with diagnosing the problem that you needed to see the doc for in the 1st place?!! Not happy with things at the moment
Visited yesterday and received a warm welcome at reception. Met Angela, a nurse practitioner after a telephone consult - she was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. I hope her hard work is appreciated- thank you
My daughter Lily had an appointment today with the most lovely nurse practitioner. Lovely lady who literally did everything necessary to make sure my daughter got the best care ever. Thank you.
This place is so far beyond a joke it is legitimately dangerous. Their disgraceful, lazy, incompetent attitude needs investigating by a team of professionals. The people who work there need removing from the medical trade. This view is not only from the public in general, but has been echoed by other local medical professionals. The most recent event in an accumulation of years of ineptitude: My dad required antibiotics in the build up to Christmas. The palliative care nurse called through to Patterdale Lodge to get a prescription made up. Instead of making it up so it could be collected, they shut up early. Consequently, we have spent the night of Christmas day and all of boxing day messing 111, 999, NW Ambulance Service and a couple of extremely helpful paramedics around. All because the Patterdale Lodge work force wanted to close not on time, but early. In short: do everything you can to avoid having anything to do with this place and the people who work there. If I could give 0 stars, I would.
