Visited the store today to buy a new waterproof jacket fully prepared to spend a good amount of money, you get what you pay for in my mind I've never had anything by Paramo before but heard good reviews so I thought I'd give them a go. Entered the store, fairly busy but don't mind browsing trying on the odd jacket before talking to a shop assistant. When the nearest was available guy around mid 50's I guess I was just trying to zip a jacket up and was hit with "well that's a bit tight" in a very arrogant tone. Then he decides to lecture me on what I needed without asking me a single question about what I was actually looking for ! All in the same arrogant and patronising tone, I'd like to add I've got 20+ years experience in the mountains/ outdoors and I do know what I'm talking about but just found him very unprofessional. From that first minute or so he'd lost the sale. He even added at the end of his little lecture that they can be a bit arrogant and patronising when telling customers what they need !!! I must of looked pretty annoyed as my wife gave me the " time to leave" look. Sorry guy's I'm sure you are usually bob on but the guy I spoke to today just lost a potentially long term customer. I bought from another store I go to regularly.

It’s was not our first visit and won’t be our last. I have held a Paramo Pro card for several years and this is my Brand Store of Choice. Friendly helpful team with great product knowledge. On this occasion we had a very rare issue with a zip on a new jacket. The jacket was replaced and we brought a new coat whilst we were in store. Paramo clothing is amazing and their repair service is amazing. I still have my first Alta II coat but it’s had new back, new zip and a few other repairs ! The coat still looks like new.  It takes a while to work out just how good the clothing system is. But by constant cleaning with Tec Wash and then re proofing my first coat is now 14 years old and just like new. I tend to use it for dog walking now as well as hillwalking and have a few options for different occasions. My girlfriend loves her system and today I got her the Alta III jacket as she is now using her Alta for Work and Dog Walking. We always joke and say you buy Paramo once and it lasts for the rest of your life. They even offer Part exchange on your old Paramo Gear when you want to upgrade. Gear shop and amazing products. Also Dog Friendly ! All we need now is Paramo Dog Coats !

I have a large collection from the Keswick store. The staff are great, they're friendly, knowledgeable & help you make the correct choice with great advice. Páramo kit is brilliant, I can't fault it. I have used the usual gore-tex type membrane kit but Páramo beats them in every sense, you stay warm & dry with no "boil in the bag" feeling you get with the membrane offerings when you're working hard. I won't use anything else for my outdoor activities, top kit

Visited on Saturday 15/1/22. Staff could not have been more helpful. I already have a Paramo Helki black and was after a similar to add to my wardrobe. After quite a while of trying different colours with the help of the staff, I settled for the rust coloured Helki, discounted price as well. Ended up sharing fotos of my walks in Morecambe with tge staff. A thoroughly enjoyable experience. And I am determined to walk Cat Bells this year.....soon.

I accompanied a friend to the Keswick paramo shop this morning as she had previously bought a new jacket in may 21, worn it for the first time this week, and discovered that it leaked. The shop assistant and then the manager were not surprised that the coat leaked and told her she should have washed and reproofed the jacket when purchased. They claimed, incorrectly, that my friend must have been told this by the sales assistant. When told this was not the case, the response from them was "I can't believe that". Eventually, probably as other customers had entered the shop, the manager agreed to exchange the jacket. Whilst processing the exchange, the manager felt moved to abuse me and my jacket a Rohan helix that doesn't leak, saying that coats like mine were "landfill fodder" and people who wore them were saying they didn't care about the environment or climate change. I had not been part of the discussion about the paramo jacket, although I had been present when it was purchased and I corroborated my friends account. I made no response to the comments directed to me. Quite apart from concerns about the quality of new paramo jackets, who wants to spend£300 pounds on a coat that needs reproofing on purchase and which is anticipated to leak, the gratuitous rudeness of the shop assistant and manager leads me to conclude that I shall never shop there again and I will advise all friends and family to avoid the Keswick paramo shop. I have had four paramo jackets and my friend has had a similar number. Paramo need to address the quality issues of new jackets and the customer service in their shops .

My experience in this shop was beyond second rate today. I’ve never been made to feel more uncomfortable. I was interested in a new Miranda jacket and adventure velez pant but left feeling I would definitely not be purchasing from this store. As my husband and I entered the lower section, which is not a big room, a man who I can only assume was staff did not interactwas stood against the wall arms crossed and starring with an unfriendly expression. As I tried on a jacket I kept glancing at him and was greeted with this same crossed arm intimidating stare. I even mentioned to my husband that I didn’t like being stared at but this didn’t seem to sink in/make a difference. I felt so uncomfortable I left without trying on the pants. Exactly the opposite of what you would expect from a store assistant.

Had a couple of issues with a jacket got a new one sent straight away excellent communication highly recommended.

We booked an appointment to look at/purchase a jacket we had researched into. Due to the covid-19 situation they kindly and thoughtfully asked in advance which type and size to make sure what we wanted to look at would not be unavailable due to quarantine procedures. Every single part/function/use of the jacket was fully explained showing a fantastic knowledge of the brand they represent. The customer experience from start to finish was absolutely spot on and definitely worth traveling the 250 mile round journey to make a purchase. Thank you!

Extremely knowledgeable staff. Probably the best outdoor clothing brand there is. Paramo gear is used by British Mountain Rescue so that pretty much confirms how good it is. Really impressed with the ethics too. It's also not sold out to any big companies!

Lovely little shop! Mark who helped and advised us could not have been more helpful, very knowledgeable and made the sometimes awkward experience a delight!  He even saved me £50 through explaining the garment recycling scheme, what a credit to the shop and brand!  Paramo - I love your products but some of your colour choices are obscure... I love a bright jacket but some of the colour schemes are just plain crazy, it's this that stops me from buying more of your items.
