What a wonderful treasure trove of a shop! One of those rare traditional ironmongers where you can buy most things by the piece rather than all in plastic packages. You can take in favourite garden tools to be mended. And there's also an excellent and fascinating heritage museum at the back which is well worth finding time for if you're visiting Cockermouth.

You walk in here and it us like entering a 1920's film set. Very worth a look at.
