My mother in law called the practice in August of this year to arrange a phone consultation with the mental health nurse as this is what she asked for, she was then passed on to the community link worker which was not what my mother in law asked for as she had previously dealt with said link worker who was very unhelpful , & decided to cancel her appointment with the link worker as she wasn’t what my mother was looking for to confide in. My mother in law then called the practice again to arrange a phone call in September to speak with the mental health nurse who within a couple of weeks decided she would cancel my mother in laws appointment without my mother in laws knowing or permission. She found this out after waiting all day on the arranged appointment day for said phone call & it took for my mother in law to contact the practice & find out from a hopeless receptionist that the mental health nurse had cancelled her phone call. Avoid this practice at all costs they shun you whilst at your lowest & pick & choose whose mentally or physically suffering enough to entertain.
I was in the surgery? recently to find out what problem lie behind my husbands' prescription not having arrived at the designated pharmacy. The woman? on the reception was the most supercilious person I've met for a long time in a surgery. She made it quite clear that you are not allowed to speak unless you are spoken to! This place has only gone down hill more and more with time. Time it was closed ~ the sooner the better! At least get someone decent on reception. Any wonder warnings are needed! This doesn't even rate a poor rating.
Not friendly, not helpful, not interested. Wish my place of work could shut for lunch and do Monday to Friday 830-530!
Been with this surgery for many years, all the doctors are very pleasant caring and understanding and take their time with you . I've never had any bad experiences with this surgery . The clerical staff very friendly and always helpful . Jackie the nurse is like a little ray of sunshine anytime I've seen her .
Since COVID-19 the worst surgery. You cant see a doctor. Get Hung up on and can't get a prescription unless you can remember all you medications and doces left with no mecation for 2 weeks. Shocking have been with then since I was youngster but since my doctor left it's went down hill fast. I wouldent recommend then at all any more
I've been with the Oxenward surgery for a number of years and cannot fault them. Each and every one of the Doctors are lovely with a special mention to Dr Woodburn, she is so very pleasant and understanding. As for Jackie, the practice nurse - she is a tonic in herself! You instantly feel better just talking to her. If you are moving to our attachment area, this is the surgery to choose!
Been phone for my 8 month old boy cause he is struggling to breathe phoned docs tell to phone health visitor wait all day for them to phone phone docs again n said doc will phone u soon they phoned to take a test but doc said if he was not ok last night to phone bk n she would see him phone but the reception was nasty saying have to wait till his test come bk n I said no doc said she will see him but reception said she said she did not say that how would u know u was not on the phone is a joke if anything happens to my boy they will here from me
I've just joined in here and had a couple of appointments and had nothing but lovely people at the reception and lovely doctors and it's quite quiet aswell which i really like.
I called this surgery up yesterday on behalf of my girlfriend who could hardly speak due to swollen glands and sore throat The receptionist I got was more than useless and told me to call the local chemist WHAT I called up the chemist who told me that this was extremely unusual and to call the doctors surgery back up Talk about getting messed about I called them back up and this time got a proper receptionist not a clown She arranged for a doctor to call The doctor called around an hour later and prescribed antibiotics over the phone without seeing the patient I know there is a pandemic going on but surely the doctor should be seeing the patients Within 2 metres you can wear a mask Well I picked up the prescription which didn’t help and my girlfriend was rushed to cross house hospital in the middle of the early hours This is my first dealing with this surgery and they aren’t good Go somewhere else and it’s high time that they started seeing their patients face to face Btw the paramedics agreed with us that you were pretty clueless
2 weeks for a dr to read a form sign it and stamp it Can't start new job without it Not even been looked at yet absolute farce of a place
