We chose this venue for our father's 80th birthday after already having our mother's 80th celebration there. From the moment we booked through to leaving, we were given such thoughtful and special service from Jay and the team. The rooms were really spacious and beautifully appointed and our extended family were treated like royalty, even our pampered dog! The dinner menu is slightly limited in terms of the number of choices, but it is really well thought out and this means that the quality of each dish is really excellent. The attentiveness of the team during dinner and breakfast service was so appreciated (with omelettes to die for!) and wine topped up throughout. It's only a short drive (10 mins tops) into the main buzz of Scarborough but the hotel's grounds and nearby walks are just beautiful too. I typically only write reviews when I genuinely want to thank a team for going the extra mile and in the hope the other customers will choose the place in favour of others. As regular visitors to Scarborough, we'd never choose anywhere else now. Jay and the team will make you most welcome at this gem of a place.

Gorgeous little hideaway! We visited here for a night with our dog. The place is very dog friendly with spacious grounds to walk in and dogs are allowed access to most areas apart from the restaurant, but can sit/eat/drink in the relaxing bar area. It was great sitting down to what felt like a Michelin-star meal with our pooch! Food was delicious (the taster meal is great - and the chef was very accommodating of my hatred for seafood!), breakfast was vast and tasty, and the atmosphere was very chilled. Staff very friendly and helpful for both us and pooch - she was probably fed more than us! Great little enclave to spend a few nights with quick access to Scarborough & Whitby for something different.
