A wonderful delight of a meal 6 course dinner with wine pairing. Every dish was well presented, thoroughly described and explained, as was the wine pairing. Some very interesting wine selections including very unusual choices. All in all, on par with some of the best restaurants I’ve been in. Service was impeccable as well, in every way. Loved it. Thank you!
Phenomenal. We had the tasting menu with paired wine and then treated ourselves to the cheese and wine also. It was the right decision. Pairings were unbelievably perfect for each course and we were taken on a journey with the staffs descriptions. Attention to detail and to us were top notch. Thank you Ox team. It was a really special day.
One of three restaurants in Belfast to hold a Michelin star, Ox is a dining delight. We opted for the 3 course lunch menu rather than the 7 course Tasting menu, which also offers optional wine pairing. We were greeted by James, who ensured an attentive but not intrusive, seamless front of house experience. Ox Somelier Nick provided expert advice as we opted for an excellent Vino Verde. I can only describe our food as sublime and before we reluctantly left, we made an evening reservation when we intend to explore the anticipated delights of Ox Tasting menu
Wow. Its hard to put into words how OX did what they did. The six course chefs choice and wine pairing was simply spectacular. With a knowledgeable and witty sommelier to explain each pairing, the food magically transported us back to the comfort food of our childhood. And the relaxed, minimalist environment only enhanced the taste of the food. Not to be missed if you can get a table!
Ox rightfully stands as a pinnacle of fine dining in Northern Ireland with a menu that delights and inspires! When visiting Ox I would most definitely advise ordering the tasting menu to ensure you get the most out of your visit. We ordered the winter tasting menu and the culinary journey it sent us on was second to none. Standout dish was most definitely the beef frankly left us dumbfounded. Ox maintains its high standards not only in its food but also in its service with some incredibly helpful and friendly staff always on hand to assist you. If you are in Belfast and find a this place has an opening, you would be mad not to grasp that opportunity!
Meal curation taken to its zenith. It’s definitively one of the top five meals I’ve ever eaten. Served to me by someone so intimate with the menu, it could’ve been the chef.
Absolutely fantastic tasting menu and wine pairing! Staff all superb and attentive! Nothing was too much trouble as I don't eat seafood and there was 2 included in this particular menu but were able to swap this out no problem! Honestly one of the best meals I've ever had! Thank you so much!
Visited the wine bar component of Ox. Great selection, priced a bit higher than market prices to be expected but great quality. If not eating at the restaurant, you'll have to purchase food due to licensing.Food: 4/5
Sublime eating experience with the 6 course tasting menu. Each course has a distinct taste and style and blend very well throughout the meal. Even for some foods that I don't usually like e.g.beetroot they are cooked brilliantly and I very much enjoyed eating them. Worthy of a visit for any one visiting Belfast.
Fantastic birthday celebration for my sons 25th! Can not rate it highly enough the food the wine pairing out if this world!! The service was lovely laid back and super friendly. Thanks guys you nailed it !
