Frankly first rate experience. Right up there with the very best of pubs I've been to. Well well worthwhile paying the extra tenner for a private snug. Marvellous atmosphere and food. Whole family really enjoyed the experience and the bairmaid was superb; very attentive and friendly. Good range of well kept ales and the Guinness was in fine fettle. Belfast Black was also extremely pleasant as a beer.
Coming here out of the curiosity, The Pub itself was beautifully crafted with wood sculpture and I believe one of Belfast iconic Pub, got the experienced sitting inside one of the cube because it was relatively empty during afternoon. However, the food wasn’t the best it was lack of flavour so I recommend coming here for the drink and socialising. Overall, must visit attractions even if you don’t drink just get the experience of the Pub atmosphere
What a bar nnAbsolutely brilliant atmosphere, excellent choice of beers and spirits, top service, very smart & professional bar staff.nnBig big thanks to Manager Andy for such a warm welcome & hospitality .nnSee you soon, from Graham, Katrina & Lucille. Leeds via Belfast.
Superb historical pub and a must see while in Belfast. We popped in for a drink and again for a Sunday pub lunch. They pour an excellent Guinness as you’d expect nice selection of Irish whisky too. Food was decent the “proper” Irish stew made with lamb in a rich gravy, and the fish & chips also solid. The snugs are very cool and a good choice for spontaneous conversation especially after work!
Well worth seeking out. We were lucky in that we managed to share a snug with others. Stunning architecture, good atmosphere & good service in an extremely busy environment. Well kept Nicholsons Pale Ale. This is yet another example of a superb Nicholsons pub. I've frequented many & they have a habit of maintaining some of the best traditional pubs in the UK. Great to see this place thriving.
