Belfast City Centre Deli & Restaurant
Home was founded during the Autumn of 2011 in a back street location in Belfast City Centre initially as a three month pop-up venture. Its aim and ethos was to serve homely, feel good nourishing food. The restaurant partnered with local artists and social enterprises to give a new home to previously loved furniture.
The initial pop-up venture was an instant hit with foodies so much so that the pop-up extended its tenure for a further four months, before taking up a permanent home in its current location of Wellington Place, Belfast close to the magnificent City Hall.
The interior exudes a lofty New York style warehouse with a glass-fronted façade to watch the world go by and like its predecessor has many previously loved and upcycled interior items available for purchase alongside works of art by local artists.
Home’s ethos remains true to its origin serving feel good food with menus created by Home co-founder and award winning chef Andy Rea with daily proceedings looked after by manager Stevie Haller and head chef Ben Arnold.
Home is open for morning coffee and pastries from 10am daily where you can pull up a stool and watch the hubbub of the city go by or have a relaxed meeting. From 11am the deli area kicks into full swing where freshly prepared soups, salads, sandwiches and home baked treats are available to consume in the deli area or for takeaway. At noon the restaurant opens with a full menu with waiter service. Home is fully licensed and has an extensive and affordable wine and drinks list.
Reservations are accepted for evening reservations on 02890 234946.
