I just had the pleasure of dining at Opus Restaurant in Toronto, and it was a fantastic experience. From the moment we arrived, the elegant yet welcoming atmosphere set the stage for a delightful evening. The décor is tasteful, creating a warm and comfortable ambiance. The food at Opus is truly impressive, both in quality and presentation. Each dish is carefully crafted, using high-quality ingredients that result in wonderful flavors. The presentation of the dishes was also beautiful, making the meal feel special. The staff at Opus were attentive and professional, ensuring that our needs were met with genuine care. Their knowledge of the menu and helpful recommendations added a personal touch to our dining experience. They were always nearby when needed but never intrusive. The vibe at Opus is also worth mentioning, combining a sense of sophistication with a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere.
The food at Opus Restaurant is rather mediocre. Considering the price, the quality falls short in various aspects, from presentation to flavor. It lacks the excellence found in its competitors. Nevertheless, the service is commendable, and I had a pleasant dining experience. If you seek complexity in flavors and top-notch presentation, I recommend exploring other dining options.
Opus is a hidden gem, where the food is more than food; it’s art. Each bite was a blend of unique flavours, and the food was presented in a beautiful way. The service was stellar. This type of service is above and beyond, and I find it’s rare these days. Our servers Massimo and Bob were wonderful and attentive, and surpassed our expectations. Bob was with us for the majority of the night and his passion for his job shows. The owner also came by to check on us and he was warm and friendly. He genuinely seemed happy to be there. While I think some of the decor could use an update, I would absolutely recommend dining here for a culinary experience. Must-try. Opus, you will have return customers in me and my family!
A very cool dining experience was had in the private area in the rear of the business including the super relaxing courtyard where we enjoyed appetizers. We had a price fixe menu and I chose burrata served on a cracker of sorts. The burrata was delicious if not a little dryer than most I've tried. I sampled the knudi as well and it had a very light texture, my friend was indifferent about it, I liked it. I ordered the dry aged striploin and was surprised by the cut of the meat, unlike any striploin I had tried before. It was cooked perfectly, however, all of us found the meat a bit too chewy for a truly dry aged steak. The presentation was excellent and I realize it is impossible to cook poor meat quality to any better standard. Still delish even though not as tender as I would have liked. I finished with beignets and was at first disappointed at their small size, but was astounded by their incredible flavour and freshness of the creme and tart berry combo. Overall a lovely dining experience.
I've enjoyed dining at Opus for over 23 years. Unfortunately Opus needs no introduction at all. You simply go and enjoy the art of food, wine and dining out.Food: 5/5
Great ambience and very romantic atmosphere. Amazing experience at Opus Restaurant. The service was impeccable! Staff was very polite and highly attentive. Our server was very pleasant, and definitely very knowledgable about the menu as he was explaining new special items they had. They have an extremely extensive wine list. Their wine selection was absolutely impressive. It took us some time to choose. If you are a wine lover, this place is for you. Every single dish was so carefully crafted and full of flavours that blended together graciously. The presentation for each dish was flawless! The tenderloin especially was very juicy and perfectly done. The seared foie gras simply melted in your mouth and the beef tartar was just amazing good. We tried 4 different desserts and they all tasted really delicious and exquisite. Opus is definitely surpassed my expectations. Highly recommend to family & friends.

Truely 5 star dinning experience with extensive wine list. The service was quick although we waited a bit long for main course to arrive, kitchens fault. They were out of tenderloin at 8 which I found odd!! The owner/manager was nice with regulars or tables ordering expensive bottles but we were okay with getting less attention . All courses were cooked to perfection. My favorite was seared fois gras.
We had an incredible meal, which was a six course tasting menu with wine pairings. The food was outstanding and the wines complemented the tastes perfectly. We especially enjoyed the tuna tartar with egg and the tenderloin with the foie gras. The service was highly attentive. Overall a superb experience.
A very pleasant and nice restaurant for fine dining. The restaurant itself has a very pleasant and romantic atmosphere which makes it a nice choice if you’re looking to take that special someone for dinner ; Coming in, we were greeted by the host who took our jackets for us, and seated inside by the staff right after. Our server was very pleasant, and definitely very knowledgable about the menu as he was explaining new special items they had and also on any food items we asked about. He made good recommendations as I was looking for a sweeter drink and he offered this martini that definitely hit the spot. We were still unsure of our order but he was okay with coming back every few minutes to ensure we were ready. Their dinner menu as a good selection of appetizers, and main courses that will even suit vegetarians. What they’re also really known for is the selection of wine it’s a whole book! For our appetizers, i really enjoyed the seared foie gras as it came in a sweet apple sauce that perfect blended together. I ordered one of the specials which was red deer meat which was also my first time trying, and it was quite pleasant. Our server recommended it to be medium rare which I was sceptical at first since I usually order medium, but it turned out he was right! Personally, I thought the portions were just right where you would feel full but not stuffed, so I wouldn’t have any complaints. We wanted photos taken and Tasha/ another server helped us take the best photos possible which also made the experience and night even better. Thank you for a lovely night!
